My Car Wont Dry!

ok i dont know what i did wrong when i waxed my car a few months ago, but everytime it rains, the water spots and lil drops stay on my car, while everyone elses is dry all over my area lol..What the hell did i do and how do i fix it? Also when it snows , the ice ended up freezing on my car cuz it wouldnt dry. Now it does dry, it just takes a hell of alot longer, maybe an extra day

Think about it, a bead of water isnt going to dry faster then a flat sheet of water.

the beads of water stay on my car, while every other car on the block is dry within hours of it stopping raining..there has to be a reason why they stay on longer then every other car..I must have done something when i waxed it, cuz thats when it started, couple days after i waxed it

What did you wax it with? And if your the detail guru who lives on the block, chances are the beads are there because you have something on your surface creating water tension (wax). Whereas the others dont. You actually have something that resists water, UV, sap, bugs etc......All you probably need to do is park the car on a slight incline/decline to get the water to run.

italiannyc:

Can you tell us what products you used and your application process?

Frankly, I could care less about the other cars in the neighborhood. They are most likely dirty or lack adequate protection. Water on a dirty or surface that has little surface tension for water will dry faster.

Also, if you have a good protective barrier for water to bead and it is cold then you should expect water drops to take longer to dry. This is a good thing in my opinion. If it rains and I park my car in the garage then I will still have beads of water after 10-12 hours. The hood will dry fairly quickly because of the heat of the engine.
