WOW! 2015 TLX on Vossen 20x9 VFS-2 Rims
Vossen just uploaded this video of a 2015 TLX on Vossens. I'm loving it. Can't wait to see what else the do.
2015 Acura TLX by Acura of Pembroke Pines & Vossen. The TLX features our 20x9 VFS-2 in silver polished finish which replaces the staid stock wheels and gives the car a more aggressive look. This vehicle features a prototype set of coilovers from our friends at RS-R and the exterior has the optional OEM bodykit with the interior touched up by adding carbon fiber wrap by RodWraps The man behind this madness is Mike Chang @chan_czag who has worked on this car non-stop since it arrived and has even bigger plans for it. Tell us what you think and look out for this car at a local car meet/show in the south Florida area!

I've seen this all over the internet and I know I'm in the minority here but I think the car is too low and the wheels are too big for it and the style of wheel doesn't work at all with the style of the TLX. It looks like a caricature.
In short - the Emperor has no clothes.

LOL I'M OFF I'M OFF!
Noooo, it wasn't. The PAW-S system will do just fine with aftermarket wheels. The TLX alone has 3 different wheel options aside from the spare ranging in size and weight. This is't a Prius we're talking about. It's just adjusting the toe as you corner aggressively.
Though I agree Vossen was a poor choice. Far better wheel companies out there.
Whether you think it is too low or not is your personal taste. But you better bet the "fad" will be going strong long after you are too senile to drive.

Isn't is it funny when someone makes such a broad statement that this "fad" will be here for so long? The Great Kreskin lives!
It might look kind of cool but...
I don't like it either more out of a practicality. Why have to worry about scraping over very dip in the road doesn't seem worth it to impress others...

It's not that it's a Vossen - it's that it's *that* Vossen. The TLX has a rather conservative design and that wheel is waaaay too busy for it. Plus when you put a 20 inch rim on the car and drop it to sit right on the wheel the proportions of the car get skewed. It looks odd. Those rims would look much better on an Escalade or something with some heft to it.

Design, I agree, not a fan.
And you are completely in the clear for thinking that. I just don't like when people call something a fad just because they don't like it. It can be taken as an insult when a fad is something that people may or may not genuinely enjoy that will die with time.

And first off, it was never simply to impress others. That is like saying you bought your car to impress others. I would be ignorant for saying such because I dont know you... as you are ignorant for thinking I or anyone else lowers their car to impress other people.
I lowered my integra because I loved how it looked. I wasnt so low that I couldnt get around but sure I could scrape on the crown of the road in bad areas.
When people mature, and this is just my thoughts, they go air ride. At that point you can be low while parked, which also acts as a theft deterrent, and drive at a respectful height.
There is a limit even in my book that starts to look just broken or nonfunctional.
Personally I think this TLX is killer, but it could use an air suspension to raise up when rolling, as well as some authentic wheels... preferably multipiece goodness.
