Hey everyone I'm new here. Just picked up 2010 SHAWD w/tech.
She's my daily and currently no plans to mod her at least nothing that anyone would see. I already have 2 other projects that I'm currently working on. A C5 Vette and a 79 TE31 Corolla. Once those are done I'll start working on suspension and some minor bolt on's.
I used to own an S2000 and I recognize Mr_Grand_Prix's name from the s2ki forum if your the same person

I'm sure I've run into a few of you at some point in the last few years through Andrea and Tony or other meets.

Anyways just checking in!

 

Welcome my friend. Glad to see another member join SA. I am actually stripping my car of it's modifications so if you are interested in anything before I put it up forsale, please ask! We are going to be moving once our house sells to the Abilene area and there is no Acura dealer in 200 miles. So I am going to go back to a truck most likely right before we leave (as long as I have a job) as I am now jobless unexpectedly. :/

So I will be talking to the admins here once I know this is going through to find another SA Chapter person to take over. At the time of me taking over, I didn't know about this move.

I just bought this car so the wifey will probably chase after me with a baseball bat if I start modding and we still don't have regular plates on her. I do want a mounted/hidden radar detector system. I know there is one available from Passport.

Yeah, you're right about that. I have seen like 2 4g TL's while driving around. But there isn't many.

 

Mainly just activities. We will choose who will get it at that time.

My car other than being lowered and wheel spacers looks stock. I removed my black vinyl from all the chrome, and the plastidip off the grill. In prep to get rid of it in a week or so. Can't afford the car any more so looking for a beater.

also Autozone is literally two blocks walking distance...but I'm really wanting to do it soon or I'll probably end up doing it off I think one reputable place quoted me like 500 older white guy & his wife are the owners when I told him I had all the parts he looked on his computer & asked if I had coolant & thermostat lol...told him I could give him a link from here for torque specs & he said he didn't need it?...another shop I was getting something done at told me to go to him...

 

I am going to order all of the stuff today or tomorrow. When i get it all in i will let you know so we can figure out on when to get it done. I'm going to use majofo's DIY for the parts list.

 

Ok lmk ya his diy is pretty legit and Dennis (TL dude) did his own said it wasn't a big deal one thing I do have the Honda pulley removal tool so you shouldn't need to get that but one thing for me is I have no effing idea how I'm going to get my you are probably off I think I might know of a way to customize a thing to hold in place but who knows that's my only dilemma is getting my UR pulley off?!...don't get can seals I have them but I don't think most people do them too difficult. .. just lmk when you know something. ..

anyone up for getting a group together for the Leander Car Show this Sunday 09/01? The meet runs from 11-2, however most people start showing up at 9:00. This event (formerly Cars&Coffee before a dispute split them) is a casual monthly meet held the first Sunday of each month in the Leander Old Town Square. This is extremely well attended by a wide range of cars, old/new, domestic/import and all are welcome.

I'd recommend showing up by 9:00 - 9:30 to get a space as it fills up fast. Good for families, as they usually have live music, food, coffee shops nearby, etc.

There's an HEB close by at the intersection of 2243 and 183 where we have met up in the past to get our group together, then we proceed to the meet so we can park together. If we have some people interested, we can discuss meeting up early.

 

Got the gates kit and added the little tool (just to have extra) serpentine belt, thermostat, plugs and ATF fluid


Should all be here sometime next week

if you cant get the pulley off, drive over to a tire shop or something with an impact wrench. have them hit it a couple times to loosen it and then drive back home

 

The coolant I'm going to grab locally so it shouldn't be a problem.

Where would you wanna do it do you have the tools n stuff I'm thinking about buying some more...& the main things you can just rent at AutoZone (big torque wrench)...I have a preeminent work vehicle now aswell so I can kinda do it whenever...
