For the people going to austin, do we need painters tape to tape our bumpers and mirrors to keep the bugs off?

Anyone here took car to dealer to fix steering pump o'ring?

Hey guys, now that is getting cold, I've started to get the buzzing noise from the steering pump so I wanted to know if anyone here took it to the dealer and they accepted to fix it for free as it was a recall.
I want to find a dealer that won't try to sell me a steering pump, Any info would be appreciated and don't try to do it on my own because I'm mechanically challenged. Thanks

i'm not sure about the recall, but there're plenty of members here with 3g TLs so it wont be long before one of them chimes in.

^^ I had mine done for free last year. Just take your car to the dealer and they'll see if your VIN is under the recall. Better yet, to save you time, just call the acura 800 number and they can give you all the recall information regarding your car.

Thanks, that's the thing, it will be my first experience at the dealer since I got the TL a year ago so don't want to make it a bitter first experience if they are not to receptive to just replacing the o ring. I will call the 800 number and check. Thanks for the info

That works too. I am going to make sure I get my service advisor a souvenir when I go home so she will give me a major discount on my 105k service

I had the recall done, but the o-ring isn't replaced sadly. I went and bought it at the Honda dealer and replaced it myself in 5 minutes.

O-ring: 91345-RDA-A01 (orange)
PS Fluid... why not.

$5 and change for that little fix. I know you say you're mechanically challenged but there is a nice write up in the 3G Garage or whatever it is called these days and it's pretty descriptive.

I'm with you on this. My weekend looks like the following:

- Oil change
- Trans service
- Air filter change
- Cabin Air Filter Change
- New wiper blades
- Fat Mat in all the doors
- Inspect rear deck rattling from my speakers
- Potentially install new Infinitys in the front.
