'Official HOUSTON thread'
if it wasnt for me we wouldnt get the gay locks out
or do all the suspension that quick with yall n00bs.

:theghey:
So whats the word with the bbq meet Dennis? I should have my coils in a lil over a month, we can plan something around that time and gather all the noobs...present company included...and slap them bad boys on.
Ok y'all so I figured out that my tires in the back are rubbing on the corners of the bumper. I read on one of the forums to just cut but what's the best way to cut with the least amount of damage to the bumper? I really need to get this figured out cause I wanna go lower but can't until I fix this problem. I'm also thinking about getting street basis coilovers from Tein but don't know how important the dampening adjustment is.

Ok fellas, I need some input here. Do we want the next meet in April (hopefully) to be a bbq meet or a cruise? There may possibly be a tri city bbq meet in June but that won't be in Houston. I looked up the tentative route for cruise which will be 45 to Galveston and then take the West End all the way to freeport and then back to Alvin. Round trip from my house is almost 3 hours so I guess it will be an extra hour of driving for most of you. Is this a route you guys would be interested in? If not, any other suggestions? If we opt for a bbq, we would have to decide ASAP so I can reserve the pavilion. The cost is $70 so I figure $5 each should do it.

Thats funny I was about to take that trip in a couple of weeks once I got all my parts put in.
I would suggest the BBQ only because most members will flake out on the road trip then the food
^ Agree
Dennis you should start a new thread with a poll i.e. BBQ vs Drive; that way we can post there and no cluther this thread.
I'm down for bbq.
I thought that was you when i was passing in the neighborhood, but i wasn't sure since you've been in the TL recently. lol
Also, were you parked at pei wei on saturday? I saw a tsx that looked like yours, but i didn't see the az stickers so i wasn't sure.

I also seem to be the only person with yellow fogs in the neighborhood pther than my friend with the Sonata so I'm easy to spot
I never noticed your yellow fogs before today. Is that new?

You want to shave it but still be able to bolt up ur bumper.
Tein basics suck ass imo, confusing as hell to adjust height
and you wont get enough drop with em. Only good thing bout
them is the good ride quality. You also gotta reuse ur stock
top hats with Teins, dampers is needed only if you wanna
adjust the stiffness so ur pick.
Search the forums,a couple of ppl have shaved the tab off,

Here's a link to the pictures, let me know what y'all think. Pop's doesn't think I'll be able to lower the car with these wheels on it?

Any one here have any experience with that? Like I said before the rear bumper hits as well so needs to be cut. Any help with rolling the fenders would be appreciated, I'm a noob and have no idea what I'm getting myself in to but really want to lower the car maybe just a 1.5" at most.
but everything i mention now are stiffer than Tein basics,
there's Function & form type 1s (~550 shipped),Type 2s (say $800),
theres BC coils ($900-1000),Kports/D2s ($800ish). Megan EZ street ($600-650)
is somewhat a smooth ride just like Teins plus comes with
dampers (16way) & goes lower than basics cuz i had it on my
old 6th gen Accord. The 98-02 Accords & ur TL use the same exact
suspension setup,so you can conside that too.

How about more along the lines of cruising thru the main streets of Houston?.... like Westheimer, Memorial, Hwy 6, etc....
