this time.. well.. gee.. 1-TL and 1-S2k
so was this a TL meet, or S2000 meet? heck, i'm gonna call it a coincidence that we saw each other at java.. uhh.. yeah, thats it
so uhh... where's was mr NOS that suggested this meet?

Hey, i have a 97 2.2 CL and I'm in North Dallas, near Abrams and Royal... I'd like to see some of the other Dallas CLs. If anyone wants to meet I'd like to look at your stuff...

I think we had talked about meeting again, but no one has really decided. As you can read from earlier, we attempted another meet and it failed miserably hehe. I'm up for whenever, though I have my dad's car and he has mine for a while

anyone think its time to retire this thread?
perhaps next time we want to do a meet, we'll start a fresh one, so maybe more people will pay attention... or they might assume we're just talking about previous meets on this thread

Hey, does anyone here own or know somebody that has a civic or integra or miata? I got a friend that just bought a set of brand new 18" konig Tantrums and has Yokohama Parada's on them, and needs to sell them. They are 4 lug and he said they will fit those three types of cars. They are brand new.

I was hoping we would catch up with that silly Canadian Meet thread.
Viva La "Any Dallas Area Meets?"!!
Seriously though, it seems like most Dallas folks new to the board know to look in this thread to ask about upcoming meets. But if you want to venture off into uncharted lands and start a new thread, I'll stand by ya!

Anyway, they have this crazy turboed hatchback Civic. They've done a crap load of mods to it, engine swap, fuel regulator, and whole bunch of other stuff. They don't have a coffee can exhaust on it so its an ultimate sleeper. I took a ride in it and I was speechless! It runs like 12.3 in the 1/4. I was stuck to my seat the whole time. Pure craziness.
But to answer your question Hanzie, no, I don't know of anyone who needs rims, but I'll keep my ears peeled.
Ohh yeah, this guy does custom turbos. He says he can Turbo ANYTHING. And I've seen his work, so its pretty legit. Maybe I'll have the first turboed CL-S.

Hey Mantis,
Did you by chance ask him how much to turbo charge your car? I know it can be done, but not without some bank!!!!! Do you know what the race shop was called?

He just opened the shop up. He has been doing side work forever, and finally decided to open up his own garage. I can't remember the name of the shop, but I'll find out from my roommate once he calls me back.
I'd guestimate for a custom turbo it'd probably run 6 grand plus. I'll call him to try to get a better estimate to see what he thinks it will run.

The name of the shop is Ntense Motorsports.
He said the cost for a custom Turbo completly depends on what I want to get out of the car. He estimated around 5-7 grand for a 11 second car. But thats completly off the top of his head. No details really. I'll probably see him soon and I'll talk to him more about it then to see what he says about price, and what we can get out of the car. Not that I'm seriously considering it seeing as though I paid for the 6 year warranty, and doing that would basically void it. But ya never know.

Speaking of retirement, I bet you guys thought I flew the coup.
Anyway, I have been really busy trying to keep a job these past several weeks. Won't know anything until after the new year, but I would be up for a get together before the holidays are over.
Just let me know.

Was in frisco last night dropping off a friend and happened to notice quite a few TL/CL while going on coit rd just in the short stretch from spring creek to hw121. Also saw a white TL (lowered?) with spoiler on 75 going to 190. Just wonder if any of these are people from the forums.
These dynos were linked from the TL forums, for a typeS. 201hp at the wheels, vs 260. Ouch, 24% loss. One thing that i noticed, however, these were done at Intercrew, a shop pretty close to our area. Anyone dyno'd their car yet? Your thoughts on the results?

Oh, their forums are for north dallas people, so it makes sense now. Heh, i thought it was just a nice coincidence.

mantis,
not to burst your bubble or anything but i already looked into a turbo setup for our car. we know kenny at jotechand he referred me to 'norwood' for an estimate. apparently they do alot of work on ferraris and such. he said to do it correctly, this would inculde r/d and alot of designs, it would run about 15 grand. this is due to the fact that the first setup would most likely not be 'up to par'.
also, talked to another friend of mine and he said that he could build a turbo, but only for one bank of our V6. basically using the exhuast fro monly 3 cyclinders. the reason here is because our engine run transversely and sit to close to the firewall to fit that second back.
anyway, check with your friend and see what he says. if he can promise me an 11 second car for 6 grand. i will be the first in line. really dont think it's possible though considering we are running only mid-14's now.

Duckblue, are you going to get your car dynoed? Let me/us know if you plan on going.

Hey, is it hard to rewire the fogs to come on with the parking lights? Can anyone let me know how or if there is somewhere i can read up on it, deciding if i want to, but wanna see how hard it is, cause i'm lazy. Also, what size bulbs are in the fog lights?

mantis: i probably wont dyno my car, because i have no performance mods
hanzie: its pretty easy, and there's a step by step instruction faq in the TL forums
the bulbs, i think are 9006
i'm not EXACTLY sure, cuz i got 9005 and 9006 at the same time, one is for high beams, one for fogs

well, i havent had my car in a while, but in the CL, i dont think i have a fog light switch in the car like the TLs do. And if i'm reading the instructions correctly, don't you need the switch on the dash like the TLs do to do this correctly, or are there wires still there.

I know I don't have a fog light switch(If I do I sure as heck don't know where it is). But what I do know is I'd like to be able to turn on my fogs w/o having to turn on main headlights.

i dont get it. I see that he wire tapped the two wires that go to the fogs, and then ran two wires off it and made connectors for the bulb and then stuck the bulb on the new wires ran, but how does that get the fogs to come on with the parking lights? Are there any step by step instructions? Thanks though Eman

Hey eman,
What size are those Polarg M6 fog lights you have? Or in other words what is the size of the fog lights, i'm probably going to change them out. Do you like those polargs? Also, how many watts are those too?

if eman used Polarg M6, then thats probably a different size from what i used..
mine are nokya 9006, but i really like polarg
and i heard the CL has "road lamps" where the TL is "fogs"- so maybe its different size?
