Mark, did you catch that red Audi S4 on Rowlett road when we were coming back?
Dude was driving a stick he wasn't quite used to, but once he was moving, he thought he was something special. Took him from a dig & a roll easily.

Rick, Paradox got a bit ahead of herself with that thread she tried to post.
I said when money is being charged its not allowed on this site.......I also said I was going to get with Robb before anything would be posted on AZ.
All I said was for her to join and come into the Dallas thread and say hello. Not completely promote what was going on.

Yes, it is for charity, but I believe the issue is that the donation is mandatory to participate & that AZine isn't involved. If you had the option of wanting to donate, it may or may not be a problem, idk.
Right now, Tiff has generously allowed me the chance to get a look at the map of the location when it is finalized, so if Robb gives it an ok for her to repost here, I will ask if we can have a certain location if we are there early enough and have sent in registration. I don't particularly want to ask for any spots if not everyone is set.

Well Ive seen other threads on cupcake meets that charge fees so this is something i myself need to wrap my head around. At this point Ill talk to Robb and just see whats up.
I think it didnt look good that she joined and then all of a sudden posts that thread. A seasoned member might have had some leway........just my opinion.

At Tritek's shop using the free wifi. David is a great guy. When I got here they were wrapping up an S4 and a Z06. David is very professional and is super easy to deal with. Thanks for the recommendation guys.
I opted for the Wincos extreme IR rejection @ 20%. The difference is simply amazing. I compared it to the Dark Matter nanoceramic tint and the heat blocking is actually better and there is much less distortion and refracting in the film. When you come by have David show the IR rejection demo for the Wincos film. You will be amazed.
I got here 40 minutes ago and they are wrapping up now. I will post some pictures when I get back to the house.
By the way Fast4Wheels (the other DarkMatter Nanoceramic dealer) is apparently out of business. Apparently the landlord locked them out last month for not paying rent. I have not been able to get anyone to answer the phone either. Remind me to never open a retail store....ever.

Had a great time at Tritek today! Can't say enough good things about David and his team.
The GS430 turned out VERY clean and super cool inside. I paid a bit more for the higher end tint based on my research and the heat rejection (IR) qualities of the Wincos film. All films have UV protection the Wincos has extrememly high heat (infared - IR). If you go by the shop have David show the Wincos hands on demo. I have lifetime guarantee from Tritek and Madico for the film and feel great about my purchase.
Tritek offers both hand cut and computer cut films. I prefer the hand cut simply because of personal preference. They have some really nice films that run cheaper but I drive to Austin and Houston for work at least once per week. Spending extra for top of line tint seems to make sense when you are in the car for 7-15 hours every week.
If you guys want to ask David any questions about tint or get a quote I told him you guys might be calling. (group buy??) He is great about returning phone calls and is very serious about customer service. He said they could knock out 30 cars in a single day if you guys wanted to stack em up for a group meet. There is also a pretty cool tuner shop next door. Saw some very fast rides come through.

Here is a shot of Tritek. David has had this shop at this location for 8 years.
This is the Z06 they completed as I was driving up.
Here is the S4. I like the black wheels.
David and his crew doing work. David is in the black hat.
Here is my GS430 after getting the Wincos 20% all around.

Like I've been saying, Tritek is no joke. David's a great guy.

The Wincos ain't cheap. I paid $350 for the GS. The charcoal Madico was less than half that but the IR blocker was a key for me.
They also carry the DarkMatter Nanoceramic if that is your cup of tea.

Renting a perfectly good track to park on just rubs me the wrong way.
Sorry for being an old fart, but this would be a tough sell for many.

We need to make sure everyone's sent in their registration first, though before we get numbers.
