Took my car in to northdallasimports.com and had them check my front half shafts. got to replace them soon.
also my control arms are showing their age (cracks). time to do them soon too...when i do the shafts I guess.
power steering pump needs rebuilding. new seals to stop the leaks.
got quotes on all of the above. I will be pricing out getting my half shafts myself and have them install them for $90. Their price for parts and labor is $531 for both shafts.
control arm $360 parts and labor. I'll price these out too but have them install.
I'll give them the $130 for rebuilding the power steering pump.
Also got to get tires so that's gonna be ~$800+. Need these pretty quick...down to the cords on the rears. BFG G-sports 265/35 18's.
Not bad for 175k miles, no car payments. worth the money to fix it and that car will be going well into the 200k range before I replace it. Or it's a hand-me-down car for Carson eventually.

+1 on C&C being the same thing every month. Same 100 corvettes and mustangs and other cars other than 1 or 2 exotics that weren't there the month before. For me, not worth waking up early and the long drive as well.

Went into the ER for what he thought was a torn muscle in his shoulder I believe and they found out it was something worse. He said he wouldn't have his phone on him so no sense trying to contact him that way. As far as I know surgery went well, and he doesn't have to go in for another one. He should be home tomorrow apparently.

If you're up by your bro's shop we should get some lunch...they just opened up a bone daddy's walking distance from my house.

IIRC from the last time I was there which was last year, don't even try to get a spot in the Classic BMW lot because it gets full early and they are mainly the cars that are there to show off.
I would just park in the business building's parking lot right next to the dealership. Very short walk and much easier access to get in and out of the parking lot. That's what I did and I'm glad I did.

I park in the spectator parking for the most part. I dont think its right to take away from the cars that deserve to be there...unfortunately others always think there cars are the shit...IMO a ton of those cars should be left out so more of the exotic cars can show up or rarer vehicles. Tired of seeing the same vette with the same shit over and over again....give me a lingenfelter from back in the day you got something....a newer body z06 with a lower blacked out wheels and cam/exhaust...gtfo. See those every damn day. I dont bother taking many pictures anymore because its the same shit.

I think its great to see these giant car clubs meet up there because there is always something new to see in the sea of the norm.
I have always told people when I have been part of organizing a car show, "If you dont like it, then start one of your own."

Bleh personal opinion. I would rather go look at an e type jaguar than a vette thats practically stock. Yes its a gathering but still that was not what the original was about. Go to the one in Irvine they are not strict but selective with a big overflow lot. They have a limited amount of spaces and they put on a good show. I enjoyed it when I was there for the original cars and coffee. I think 15 spots of that lot took out the whole entire dallas show which is sad...ranging from gt1 cars, shelby's, ferraris, lamborghini's, and even a fort gt40 not a GT. I wished it was like the first one we had here. Those were the fun and good days.
I dont mind other people meeting I just want to see some new machinery in the lot every now and then instead of what I see everyday but at this point im rambling...
EIther way on my way out...car is dirty...needs gas...ill be wearing a black lexus shirt driving an acura...yes
