so I need a free converter that isnt spyware or tries to add a bunch of trial shit to my computer, anyone know any?

make sure you change the settings on WMP to mp3

 

iTunes will do it if you try to import a wma.

my PC came with a Microsoft wizard program to batch convert files to any audio format. Maybe its available online somewhere.

 

I'll reveal my well kept secret just for you guys... If you have files that are DRM protected you can LEGALLY (unless the law has changed) convert them to mp3 files. The program plays the song at a faster speed and digitally records the song. It doesn't work right with WMP11--the default program it uses for it's conversion--so you have to be using < WMP10.

Anyway... it's called tunebite. Just google the name

 

Or you could just burn it on a cd and re-rip to mp3. <-- easiest and free with no new software needed.

 

and if you have a cdrw its free

x2. Been using that one for years. A little slow and memory intensive, but very simple tool.

 

I thought audacity was only a limited time free thing. I used it for a month or two then it wouldn't let me convert files anymore.
