In Windows XP - Is there an easier way to delete recently viewed documents other than going to START, Settings, TaskBar and Start Menu, Customize - Clear?

'Cause sometimes you don't need a "document" to be showing there - raises too many questions.

Just wondering if there was an option that could be unselected or something.

On my menu, beside the 'clear' button there is a check box which you can deselect 'list my most recently opened documents'

 

just turn off those recently viewed documents

 

If you want to delete one document from the recent items list you can go to said document in the list right click on it and choose delete. Or you can disable the whole recent items list all together by going to start menu options and unchecking the box for recent items.

Good thing I have my own computer and don't have to worry about this!! I used have to delete browser history all the time!!

 

Just uncheck the List my most recent... box

 

That option is only if you have the XP start menu enabled. If you have classic it's not there.

 

just go to start and recent documents and right click on the 'document/porn pics' you want to get rid of and hit delete and it will take it off of the list.

 

Rename your porn...

 

just rename them like "tax report 06"
