Windows Vista Beta
Windows Vista Beta
Just wondering if Vista in it's Beta form is free. I have to reformat a laptop and would like to load something different on there. Plus I would like to test it out and see if it eats up my 1ghz M processor.
i wouldnt run a beta os as your primary os
i would partition and dual boot xp and vista.
and i think you have to be a MSDN or technet subscriber to get it "legally" for free.

The other way you can sometimes get the betas is at Microsoft Events. There is a "Microsoft Momentum" event in Tampa on 1/19 that specifically lists Vista as one of the topics. It would be a crapshoot though as to whether or not they hand out anything.

I"m running 5270. For me it improved greatly...there are others who think its worse than previous builds. The UI is improving. My Intel ABG card was detected and works great!
Hardware support is better...not perfect yet.
