whats cool about the Motorolla V600
Im on AT&T and ive got a Panasonic GU87 right now, im thinkin about going to the V600 but i dont know how much it is without buying a new plan and my brother tells me it can play mp3s as ringtones. does that mean i can upload a song clip from my comp and itll play it? thatd be kinda cool. what else would be good about going to the v600 from my gu87?

things i don't like about the v600. text messaging. it uses iTap (later motorola models do) compared to t9. i feel t9 is easier to use. the flip part of the phone. gu87 has a more solid snap to it. v600, you kinda have to be careful with it cuz there have been cases where the plasticpart where the camera is had a tendency to crack if you flipped it open to quickly. motorola tried to put a fix to this by adding a rubber strip at the hinge part. i would always be cautious because of this, though. no infrared for the v600. i used to use this a lot when transfering business cards or phone number info.
just like any phone, it's a give and take. i would pick the v600 over the gu87. the speaker phone i used to use a lot. it was really, really loud and clear. and the different ring tones were cool too.
now i use an unlocked moto e398. it has a removable 64mb memory card. i haven't seen anyone in the DC area with this phone yet. i see v600 all over the place. it's not a flip phone but the feel of it in my hand is just awesome. much more solid than the v600.
hope this helps.
