What's the best "old" Verizon Phone?
Here's the deal: My phone (Qyocera 2035) is dying and I need a new one. I don't want to go to Verizon and spend $150-250 on a new phone so I'm going to hit up Ebay and pick up an "old" one. I need a tri-mode cause coverage in this area (MASS/NH border) is lousy. Don't want anything fancy (no camera for example) but a speakerphone or voice dialing would be a plus.
What do you guys recommend?

I'm still using my Kyocera 2325. I can't find a good replacement. Good battery life, voice dial, multiple phone book entries, trimode and the phone is extremely durable. The menus are great, probably cuz I'm use to them and the phone is not polluted with Verizon add-ons like Get It Now.
The motorola startac is handsdown the best older phone verizon used to sell. It does not have a speaker phone though. Shoot me a pm. I might be able to help you out. I have all kinds of phones laying around.
i had a startac motorola for three years, and i was the most reliable phone in the world...i want through 2 antennas. dropped it so many times and it still worked perfectly...i just got a kyocera slyder last week, and i have 2 be careful with this one :/

vader!! yea i had that it was sick..but it is a dual mode phone..so wont work on verizons network...
i was an indirect sales rep for verizon a few years ago while in college. This is back when the tm510 was new school. For the phones of that day, i had service or functional issues with just about everything exept the Samsung of that day...A310 i think it was called.
For a cheap replacement phone, i would recommend the A310 or the LG vx10. The Moto T720 was discontinued for warrenty replacement issues too. You should be able to find one of them pretty cheap on ebay. it was Moto's first verizon color phone and the one i had, and the many i sold seemed to hold up fine.

well, in truth, ive warranty replaced every handset verizon sold for the two years i worked for them. For phones back then, its pretty much, pick your poison.
In that case, i have more faith in Samsung because the actual mechanics of the phone never came across my desk as a problem. Just quiet ringers and small BS like you say.
my t720 was working fine but when verizon approved us to replace t720's with t730's to clients with phone issues, i went ahead and became a client with an issue.
Except now i still have that damn t730 despite all the cool phones available now because im not eligible to upgrade untill november

i have 2 audiovox cdm9100. old phones, but they had excellent reception, speakerphone, and was generally an easy but low feature phone to use. i would recommend it, as its worth about 10 buxs. i still have mine with the chargers and batteries, this thing could last 4-5 days with 20 min talk time a day! why do all these new color phones last for only 2 days! this sucks.
