Well I'm getting my third Palm Pre this week. I went to the store today and after trying to fix it for over an hour, they ordered me a new one; I'll be picking it up tomorrow or Tuesday.

The phone continues to have issues with the loose battery, and as of late when plugged in, it freezes. Whenever I try to sync it or even just charge it, once the micro usb side of the wire goes into the phone, the screen stops functioning completely....

It's been 6 months, I'm on my third set. Looks like so far, the failure rate of the Pre is pretty consistent if not worse than my Treo 700 was.

Our Pres both work great.

Switching to a BB Tour 2 when it comes out though, Pre's keyboard is too small for my fat fingers.

No, I haven't tried that. I'm really fine with the way the phone is now, I'm glad that Sprint has a good insurance plan and don't give me too many headaches.

As much as I love the Palm operating system, once the Iphone is available for other networks, I will probably be getting out of the Pre; the hardware is just too flimsy. I will continue to enjoy it for the next year or so, however.

There are 550+ apps in the catalog now!

yesterday, I had a friend tell me that the only thing he felt like the iPhone does poorly is be a phone... I had to laugh, but he explained that he has such poor call quality (he came from a BB which had much better)... so I am hoping that when they change its guts around for the other carriers it will be a better phone too...

....and yay for even more apps!!

has anyone been having a battery drain problem?

Mine was doing GREAT until yesterday after I used it to play some music through my car radio (using Pandora)... now the battery is draining so fast... I made it until about 1 pm and had to charge it back up...

Anyone got any ideas or fixes? I have restarted it to make sure something was not left on... the BT and WF are turned OFF...

The Pre doesnt have a 4G radio in it. Funny cause everytime Sprint has a comercial of 4G they show the Pre.

For any of you wanting better battery life, I installed the 500mhz patch and it improve battery life noticeably.

1.3.5 actually brought in a little bit of speed to the whole UI.

Im enjoying the 3D games as well.

I only purchased asphault5, but also installed DOOM and Quake and am enjoying this as well.

I am hoping with 1.4 coming next month the Pre will be more like what it should have been on launch day.

All well need then is

1.real copy n paste
2 voice dial over bluetooth
3 more bluetooth profiles to be able to send/receive any files you ant
4 a video out API so that I can use it as an in car entertainment source.

Really hoping on that last one. lol
