software question: program installer?

Is there a program that I can use to create a .exe or .msi file from a software program? What I want is like a packager that merge all the files into one single executable. Thanks!

WinZip 8.X when installing has an option for "Create Self Extracting EXEs". You have to do the install in Custom/Advanced mode (not "Typical") and its OFF by default.
There is also a better version of this EXE creator from WinZip but it costs extra. It allows you to have one or two intro screens on the Self Extractor and run a certain command line after extraction as well.

WinRar as mentioned previously also has the same feature in it. (Neither program is required once the EXE has been created, so people you send this to dont need WinZip or WinRAR)

Other than that your looking at WinInstall or some other actual Installer Creator type program.
