Resetting Nokia 3120

I have a friend who decided to set a pin code for her Nokia 3120 and somehow messed her phone up. Is there anyone who would be able to tell me how to reset the phone or is this pin something stored in the sim card? This would be a cingular phone, thus the sim card.

Any help would be appreciated.

she will most likely have to get a new sim card from cingualr if she locked up her card completly, some stores will do it for free some will charge the $7 or $25

Did she set up a PIN Code for the Phone or for the Sim Card, If just Sim Card, than Call up Cingular and get it replaced and do a SIM SWAP, but if its the Phone, some phones have master codes to do it, but most of the time, you would have to flash the firmware.

If it is the pin number on the sim card, she can keep trying until the phone locks up. Then it will ask for a PUK code...all she has to do is call customer service. If it is the phone though...

2 I have forgotten my security code? What do I do?

Please take your handset to a Nokia Service Center in order for the code to be reset. To find a center nearest to you,

That's what the nokia site has. Try these codes.... Don't think they'll work cause they're for series 60 phones:

*#7780#, *#7730#, and *#73738

If none of those work, then you'll have to send it back in.

You can set a security PIN code for the sim card but that is something you put in...there is no default code.

That's weird. I know there are PUK codes but a default PIN? that is something weird.
