I have a Dell 600m (smaller and lighter than the 700m). I love it, no complaints so far. It has everything you listed except it isn't a widescreen. I upgraded the RAM and hard drive.
Toshiba's are good too though.
I don't think there is a "bad" choice out of any of those 4.

I knew that was coming. I had an IBM a few years ago and it shat-out on me. I'm not buying another.

A few years ago, Thinkpads were shit, they are now the best....by far. Buy a Dell and witness how they've gone down the toilet over the same period of time.

So, in that respect, I'd get the Dell Inspiron as it is configured very nearly like the one I have. Hardly uses power, a charge lasts 4-5 hours w/ multiple windows/programs running if I don't run the screen too brightly.

I've had the 500m (same as the 600m, just different graphics processor) for a almost a year and a half now and I've had no complaints (and its seen its fair share of abuse).
Ok, found another 700m with a 60gb hard drive and 8 cell battery for $1,050.....I don't think I can pass that price up. I could use the extra $300 for wireless router, dual layer dvd burner, case......etc.
