new computer purchase
im in the market for a new media center pc and i just wanted to see what you guys thought about this hp i am thinking about getting. since its so new i cannot find very many reviews about it. i tried searching and cnet.com but no one has any reviews, just wanted a very fast multi-tasking pc with media center capabilities. it got ok reviews on circuitcity.com but just wanted to see what you guys think about its performance?
cause i hate it when im trying to listen to itunes, surf the web with about 3 pages at 1 time and watch a video here and there together at the same time, without it skipping.
thanks

I work for HP and I've hooked up a lot of people with their PC's. People are happy with what they get and what they pay. Those new models are really nice.
However, Circuit City needs to get their shit straight. I've never see a 640GB hard drive or a 400MB shared video card.

All pentiums chips just dropped drastically! You can get the E6600 (2.4 ghz 4 MB ) for $235, which is really a good deal. I just purchased parts through newegg and it came to about 825 for a really nice computer that I'll on Wednesday
I actually work for Circuit City in the computer department.
This is a pretty powerful PC, but make sure you upgrade the power supply if you plan on upgrading the video card. It is pretty strange how it has a 640 GB hard drive but I wouldn't complain. You can always upgrade the ram and the nVidia GeForce 7350 should be good enough for media center purposes, it has 128MB of dedicated memory and as stated, 400MB shared so it will be plenty unless you plan on playing a lot of FPS games. It also has a built in TV tuner.
Look for flash drives on sale. We once had a 4GB Sandisk flash drive for $49.99. Doubt the m8020n can handle 6GB of ram but there's this cool feature called ReadyBoost where you can use flash drives as additional memory.
