Moto V3 Question

Moto V3 Question

I am a world traveller and I just got a new Moto V3 from Cingular, the problem is they won't unlock it, saying that they don't unlock phones anymore. When I explained that they had unlocked my old V600 for me they dug their heels in and told me that they had not. I need this phone unlocked, I leave for Kuwait and Bahrain on June 15 and will not pay $2.50 a minute to use their service affiliate. If anyone can help me let me know. I have Moto Phonetools if that makes a difference.

i got mine already unlocked (not cingular)



but try motomodders.com or some forum like that....
i think a reflash or somethin like that will help u out
i'vent done any of this to my phone yet cuz i dont care that much for it-- but from what i hear u can make the camera take video (w/ the reflash or flex or w/e the fuck they call it)

i dont like the forum all that much, but at least i chaged my wallpaper to a sexy spanish bitch and some other shit. . .
(had problems hookin up the phone w/ usb)

i flashed a few razrs to do the video record its pretty dope

when you flash it, it unlocks the phone also i believe.

you need motorola PST software and a mini usb cabe to flash the phone

Mine is from Cingular and it's unlocked

I got it when it first came out. Maybe the first batch came that way though. Sucks for you man. Just do what the others said and flash/flex it or try this:


Taken from howardforums:

First of all, you must me a Cingular wireless account holder for more than 90 days.
Second, the phone you are going to unlock must be Cingular branded.
And, of course, you need a good reason for unlocking your razr.

The email address for the subsidy request is

simunlockcode@cingular.com

when you send email, you need to include followings

Customer's name:
Account number:
Mobile number:
Social Security Number:
Phone make and model (ie: Motorola v60):
IMEI number (this can be retrieved from the phone by pressing *#06# on the keypad of the phone):
Part number (for Siemens phones only):
Reason for request:

In my case, I got the code in two weeks.

I just got off the phone with cingular and told them that if they do not unlock the phones I will take all of my business elsewhere and that T-Mobile never had a problem unlocking my phones for me in the past. I also explained to them that I have been a customer for almost a year and have never missed a payment, in most cases making the payment before the bill is even mailed out. I went on to ask them to run my credit report to prove that I am a dead beat customer. The bitch on the phone made some fucked up comment about me being pretentious so I just told her that I was done dealing with her, that I have no issuses making payments that chances are I have more money in my checking account than she makes in a year and that I needed to speak to her supervisor. She told me there were no supervisors on staff that day so I yelled some more and magically a supervisor was there... go figure. Long story short they put in a request to unlock my phones and I made it quite clear that having an unlocked phone was crucial to the operations of my business and if they were unable to unlock my phones I would cancel my service. They said that I should have a response in 7 business days so we will see what happens....

No shit, I swear that these phone support people are the stupidest people ever. I wonder if it occurs to them that I have 10 lines of service with them, and that they should probably not screw with me. My wife told me not to worry, atleast I have a highschool diploma... haha

I was just looking online for Unlock Codes for your phone, and DAMN! They are charging $55 for Unlock Codes, thats crazy, I could try and get a code for you, PM me your IMEI, and I will give it my best shot

this type of attitude is common in the wireless industry, it works well
