LG4400 Ain't Water Proof - Dropped it in the Toilet
man ,I dropped my fucking phone in the toilet in the hotel room while at the super bowl. I had no choice but to fish it out as fast as possible, and disconnect the battery, but it was too late.
Ended up getting a LG6000. At least I had transferred most of the numbers over to the pc, but still, it sucks ass

All my latest girlie numbers aren't lost
Now the real question is, should I keep the 6000, or go back to the 4400, keepin in mind that i now have to pay an extra 3.99 / mo for stupid ass insurance. and buy new USB cables and car charger. what to do?!?!?!?

That's to key to reviving a drown cellphone. Let it dry out before powering it on. If you could dry it and and disassemble it and completely remove all the water BEFORE turning it back on, you stand a better than 50/50 chance of it powering back on and a pretty good chance of it working ok. However, you can expect for it to never be the same again, I think that goes without saying.

LOL, that sucks.
Like Ken said, clean water shouldn't hurt anythign provided nothing shorted while powered up. Best thing is to remove the battery fast, and leave it to dry out. Setting it in the sun for a few hours generally helps, never bake it. Taking it apart can further speed up the drying process.

Was the guy BSing me?
I took the phone to the shop, and the technician was talking about how I could potentially rust out the connection points and crap in the phone. And how I'd probably have to buy a new one in a couple of months anyway.
BS? or no?

Well, depends on what type of payload you dropped in the water prior to submerging the phone
Plus you add whatever additives are in the water (floride, chlorine), yeah, it's possible, but you could have waited to that point for the phone to die.
