LCD Projection TV any good?

Thinking about purchasing this Panasonic TV Circuit CIty . Any downside to a rear Projection LCD? Im not feeling Plasma and LCD is kinda pricey still, just want something with HDTV capability and not too big. Inputs gladly welcomed!

not sure about the panny...but

my dad purchased a new sony 65" Grand Wega XS series last week, and returned it for a 50" Sony XS Wega Plasma instead.

On both dvd, and NON-HD signal....the plasma looks quite a bit better.

Any reason you aren't looking at DLP?

Or for that matter good ol' CRT? I think you should clarify what "...not too big" means in your book.

Hitachi? Sony?

LCD projection is a good value!!!

The screen is much better a projection tv (stand to the side, and it wont get darker)

and very cost effective

something in a widescreen would be awesome. . . and depth is what i meant for big. I have a small living room, and a big TV poking out and taking all my space up . ohhh and something I can still hook up my PS2 or Xbox to and not worry about destroying the screen.

For that price range I would def buy either the Toshiba 52in DLP or Samsung 50in DLP.

DLP's do not suffer from the effects of burn in.
