Image of a Hard drive

I need to make an image of my laptop hard drive so I don't have to reinstall anything seeing that there are like 100000 programs I had to update that I dont feel like updating again.

Anywho I wanted to know if I could make an image of the drive and save it to my desktop then get a bigger laptop drive to replace it with and just copy it over.

Norton Ghost is a good idea. But will it work with a different hard drive? Not too familar with 9.0.

Yes the only way it wouldn't work is if you changed disk controllers, just a larger HD won't matter. (vista will correct this problem)

I do this all the time

9.0 allows you copy an image to multiple harddrives.... specifically if you want to change out harddrives but keep your system intact
