i hate verizon

so far, EVERY SINGLE VERIZON phone i have had has been a over priced piece of shit. but their network is so good i cant switch so they have me by the fargin nuts. the newest phone which i bought for 250 bucks the POS samsung with the swivel screen, the screen lights up bright white and i cant see anything on it. also the fone dont ring when ppl call me. and OF COURSE, what does verizon say " you broke it" its funny since there is NO scratches on the phone anywhere. if you didnt know it was broken you would think its brand fargin new. i hate em, i hate em i hate em i hate THEM!!! i been a customer for 4 years, they reall could care less about customer loyalty like other ppl do...

ok my rant is over, thanks for the ears

1. why would u get that samsung? it is asking to be broken
2. maybe you did break it and you didnt know it?? I've seen phones that look great get dunked in water..and you would never know
3. if they gave every customer who broke their phone or said they didnt like their phone a free phone u think they would still be in business? or at least make enough of a profit to expand their network so that you can use your phone?

Pay a few extra bucks and get an extended warranty. I've had several phones replaced and all I had to do was tell them the phone wasn't working properly. They asked if I dropped it or damaged it in some way, and I just said no and the new phone delivered the following day by FedEx. It's worth the extra $3 IMHO

All Verizon phones come with a one year warrantee. Usually they will just swap out if they think the phone is defective. I've had 3 V60s swapped by Verizon's request because they think I had one issue or another with the phone. A couple of the phones were scratched pretty badly and have been dropped a few times. I am very surprised that they didn't try that route with you.

ATT and CINGULAR have merged to create the biggest wireless network, so that should improve service

Actually, as of now, it still sucks! I'd love to see a coverage map for the new network and see how large it is.

I have customers complain all the time about Cingular and no one will even think about AT&T. T-Mobile is pretty popular but it has a lot of limitations as well.

I found this:

Verizon coverage:

Cingular + AT&T:

I've used every service in the past 10 years....

IMO:

Verizon - best coverage, crappy phones
Cingular - crappy coverage, cool phones
AT&T (now part of Cingular) - ok coverage coverage, crappy phone, cheap service agreements
T-Mobile - crappy coverage, decent phones, cheap service agreements
Sprint - crappy coverage but slowly getting better, good plans, few bluetooth phones, CDMA (good or bad?)
Nextel - crappy coverage, expensive service agreements, direct connect is cool

Right now I am settled with a T-Mobile 7100t

That was one of the, if not the, best phones I've ever had. I remember buying the analog version back in 1996 for $1,200 but the phone was great! The only two complaints I had were the battery heats up if you are on the phone for a while and the "joint" wasn't solid enough that it sometimes loses power to the screen.

I owned one myself at the time and I always remembered bending the crap out of the antenna. I also remember the slim battery bringing the unit down from 2 inches thick to 1.5 inches!

I also remember paying over $100/month for 1000 peak minutes and .35 for each minute thereafter!

What a blast from the past!
