HP Macbook Pro?
HP Macbook Pro?
Wtf?
We got our first batch of HP 8460p's at work today and they pretty much stole the styling directly from the Macbook Pro. How original.

Of course, I assigned one to myself for long term testing

LoL, the XP got me too.
are those back lit keys? the little light on my 8440 isn't so great IMO.
I also like that they ditched the touch bar across the top.
My only recommendation is to order an extended life battery, it adds a little weight but I couldn't travel with out one.

A lot of IT shops are slow to change. My place just started handing out laptops with 7 this year.
Some places will probably stick with XP until they can't get XP drivers for new equipment.
Still rocking IE 6 on my work XP laptop

Big industries like Utility, Airlines, etc usually stick to tried and true OSes, then being quick to upgrade. You don't want some glitch in a newer OS causing a plane to crash or a nuclear meltdown. Seems far fetched I know, but I work for an energy company and it takes over half a decade to give a new OS a chance. We just upgraded to XP 2-3 yrs ago. We have to make sure our legacy apps will run completely without flaw on a new OS or heck even a new version of IE. We just updated to IE 8 last year and we still use a virtualized version of IE 6 for legacy apps for compatibility.
Silver, Black Keys, Form Factor, Black Bezel around Lcd...etc
Yes. All of our images are still XP until the end of the year when most of our apps will be virtualized and running via Microsoft App V. Once this is complete, we will begin running Win7
Keys are not back lit
Wrong year MBP
Yup. We used IE 6 up to about 6 months ago.
