does anyone elses touch pad do this?
today i was using it to listen to some music on grooveshark and then pandora when cleaning the garage and washing the car. when the screen auto shuts off the music shuts off.
when i wake it back up the music comes right back on.
is it supposed to do that? wont run it in the background?
also just listening to music for 2.5 hours cut the battery from 100% down to 67% then again i did have the screen on the entire time, but at the lowest brightness setting.

^^ I haven't booted into WebOS since I've installed ICS, so I dunno
By the way, the newly released CM9 Alpha 2 is amazing. pretty much everything works smooth and quick. Only things remaining is Microphone still doesn't work which i don't care about. Most all Apps and Netflix works great

no no no.. does the site work on CM9?
#2530
I'm Down Right Fierce!
^ Tested it for you Miz, and the site does work in CM9.
But right now videos embedded in websites don't always appear to work in the ICS/CM9 browser... it works on some sites like ESPN.com & myfreecams, but not on Youtube.com.
I still have my TouchPad and pretty much use it for screwing around with (mainly with CyanogenMod relases), however I decided to bite the bullet and got a 64 gbTransformer Prime for everyday use.

Yup Works in a pinch, but the video size is a bit too large to navigate properly. But you can see and hear the good just fine.

You can dual boot right? Do videos saved to the onboard memory work? I have my work out vids saved on my touchpad.

reset battery stats in clockworkmod
http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2011/03...-battery-life/
- Fully charge your device, until your LED turns green or until your home screen says “Charged”.
- Reboot into recovery mode. This is different on every device (I know on my Droid, I have to hold the “x” key when powering up). Google how to do it for your device, or, if you’re running a custom ROM like CyanogenMod, you can reboot into recovery mode from the phone’s regular shutdown screen.
- When you reboot into ClockworkMod, head to Advanced > Wipe Battery Stats and hit Yes. When it’s done, go back to ClockworkMod’s main menu and reboot your phone.

Today's myth debunking:
"The battery indicator in the status/notification bar is a reflection of the batterystats.bin file in the data/system/ directory."
No, it does not.
This file is used to maintain, across reboots, low-level data about the kinds of operations the device and your apps are doing between battery changes. That is, it is solely used to compute the blame for battery usage shown in the "Battery Use" UI in settings.
That is, it has deeply significant things like "app X held a wake lock for 2 minutes" and "the screen was on at 60% brightness for 10 minutes."
It has no impact on the current battery level shown to you.
It has no impact on your battery life.
Deleting it is not going to do anything to make your more device more fantastic and wonderful... well, unless you have some deep hatred for seeing anything shown in the battery usage UI. And anyway, it is reset every time you unplug from power with a relatively full charge (thus why the battery usage UI data resets at that point), so this would be a much easier way to make it go away.

Damn you might have just convinced me to put it on mine Mizous. Was it fairly easy? Have been looking to buy the Transformer Prime but maybe this would fill my need.

There are also Step by Step video's on Youtube on "How To"
How long it will take you all depends on how tech savvy you are with this stuff.
It can be as quick as 10 minutes or take over half an hour.
Oh and Inductive charging works fine.
Also, this will make your Touchpad Dual Boot. You will not lose WebOS and can go back to it whenever you want

Thank you. Ended up finding the video. Have never rooted Android devices but did a lot back in Windows Mobile Days. Watched the Idiot Guide 2.0 video anyways and fastforwarded through most. It is installed now.

Simple to install right?
Just download the files. Install the one program, copy the files over to touchpad, put pad into recovery then open up command prompt and enter in the code and viola!

I even paid for TabletTalk so I get my texta and can send them from my tablet so when on the couch I can juat let my phone charge. Now to test my battery life. Killed it pretty quickly but only really had 1/3 of a battery when I was done with the install.

Now only thing I wish is that it was smaller now. Going to try and stay satisfied and not buy a Tranaformer Prime for a little while.

Going to order a solar powered USB hub so I can see if I can hook my CF Card reader directly to my Touchpad with ICS now so I can review pictures on something larger while out shooting.

What are you shooting with?
I use an eye-Fi card to review my pics.
They get sent wirelessly to my pad.

Are those actually fairly fast? I am shooting with both my Nikon D300 and my Canon S90. Is it a new card or a wireless card reader? I have a tone of cards so it would suck to have to buy more but if it is the best way I will.
