webOS 3.0.5 to bring the bug fixes
Derek Kessler

It hasn’t even been two months since webOS 3.0.4 was released, bringing bug fixes, massive speed improvements, and a new camera app to the TouchPad mix. Now we’re hearing that webOS 3.0.5 is right around the corner, being that Release Candidate 1 of the updated OS has been released in the Early Access Program.
Like 3.0.4 and 3.0.2 before it, 3.0.5 is focused on fixing bugs in webOS and making small improvements. Included is a new “sensor API” for PDK applications, support for SDL hybrid apps to utilize both cores of the TouchPad processor, and a bug fix for hanging WebSQL calls (affecting some Enyo apps like Paper Mache). Also present in webOS 3.0.5 will be support for HTML5 video in all screen orientations, double space for a period, low disk space download alerts, and the incorporation of a homebrew patch to enable support for binary data in the Bluetooth SPP service.

Like we said, bug fixes and not much else. Seeing as webOS 3.0.5 is currently sitting at RC1, HP has ironed out the intended issues for this release and is giving it one last round of testing before release. We wouldn’t be surprised if we see webOS 3.0.5 getting pushed out to TouchPad owners the globe over by the end of the month.

If azine is a porn site then sure.

The pad just lags when loading websites and times out very often. And I have no issues when loading pages on my desktop win7 pc and iPhone.
Also the browser takes ages to load, like sometimes more than a minute just to load the browser. And with advanced browser my bookmarks on the speed dial type page don't always load.

There are also many glitches and poor rendering of pages when browsing. Like I posted many pages back I get those blocks or something when loading pages.

The sound always stops working or gets very distorted.

Light browsing of the net yields me about 4 hours of battery over locked or not.

I always seem to get that big spinning circle that blacks out everything and wot let me do anything for I dont know how many minutes.

Copy and paste doesn't always show up/work.

Many more little glitches/bugs/issues that jus make the experience for me suck ass.

I am going to see if I can fix this thing with webOS doctor. If not, screw it I'm gonna get a transformer prime.

Sure seems like everyone else's pad is perfect

And maybe for you it was <= $150.

But yes Im glad I didn't pay full price for this hunk of junk, I would be royally pissed if I paid the 499 price or so.

Splashtop is awesome. I have officially not had to remote into my media server from my laptop at all anymore. I do it all from my Touchpad when ever I need to do anything. I still wish it had a LogMeIn app though. I know it will never happen.

Well preware is installed and I overclocked it from 1.2ghz to 1.5ghz.

Stock I was still having these issues.
Like I said I am going to restore it first.

And why would HP care, it's a dead product.

Miz...It is still warrantied. I know people who have had issues and guess, what? The first thing they did was call HP and voila...issues resolved. Their helpdesk is actually decent.

You amaze me.

And your behavior also answers alot of questions too, sorry.

Nice try but overclocking voids the warranty.

Wow. So, wait...you had issues OUT OF THE BOX. So, instead of fixing said issues, you decide to overclock (i.e. mod your tablet).

Cool. So, I guess if you bought a new car, and it was a lemon, the first thing you'd do would be to install a supercharger and chip it. Got it.

nice try, but the only reason i did that was because everyone said how much faster/better their pad ran with preware installed and overclocked.I didn't know I had a lemon, just thought that's how it was.

I'm not trying anything, M. But, your logic here is a whole-lotta fail IMO.

You don't attempt to see if your TouchPad is all good and the first thing you do is break the warranty. Sorry, makes ZERO sense to me.
