I have the pro x2.

And yes they are fairly fast. If I set the resolution to small for jpeg it transfers fast. Of course the larger the file the longer itll take.

It's pretty much an 8gb class 10 SD card with wifi built in.

So in direct mode any picture i take auto transfers to my touchpad and keeps the original on the card.

If you doNt use direct mode then as soon as your wireless network is In range it'll auto download to your PC.
Assuming your camera is on.

Just realized a problem. They don't make a CF card. D300 is CF only.

No I have found that it can host devices just not power them which is why I need to find a battery powered usb hub if I plan to use this in mobile situations. I swear last year I read about a wifi card reader but I can't seem to find anything on it right now.

hmmm interesting. I may just have to give in and get one. Since I can just do the download of pictures after I am done then with them right next to each other the range shouldn't matter.

You should be able to use a USB OTG cable on CM9 to mount whatever USB device you want along with a Memory Card reader. The only problem is that the Touchpad's USB port doesn't provide enough power on its own so you would need to get a Y-Cable USB OTG cable and plug one end to a power supply of some sort. Refer to this thread on the i9000 which also requires a Y-Cable USB OTG:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1450298

http://rootzwiki.com/topic/15693-cm9...-host-support/

You'll also probably have to run a free app in the market called stick mount to make it mount/unmount the card reader.

From the RootzWiki thread, a USB Solar Powered Hub:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/140511174310...84.m1423.l2649

http://rootzwiki.com/topic/15693-cm9...t/page__st__20

You could also use those spare battery packs to power the hub with the Y-Cable:

Yeah Air Stash that was it. Well SD cards are no longer a problem since you have clued me into the fact they make an SD to CF adapter so I can actually use SD cards now in my D300 which is great.

I am trying to figure out which is better now.

Can you choose which photos it downloads to your device with the Eye-Fi or does it just download all of them on the card? I can't seem to find anything that says you have a choice on their site.

You could also switch to a D300S that has a SD card slot

Damn seems that there is limited success with the eye-fi cards in the D300 with a adapter.

I hope when they release the successor to the D300/D300s it will have both so maybe I just need to wait till then.

The AirStash would work but then I still need a regular SD card and an adapter when I want to shoot to be able to wifi transfer. Also not sure how fast cards will be when using the adapter although I don't often do much continuous shooting anyways.

If only hooking a card reader to my phone and tablet were easier. Maybe just should get a Transformer Prime with keyboard and call it a day.

Did you read the former WebOS employee's blog on the Verge article:

http://joshondesign.com/2012/06/06/webos-on-the-verge

Was a good read too into what happened with WebOS.

if you throw android ice cream sandwich on it, it's a great bathroom buddy

PS... I was able to watch live feeds of hockey games upstate (in west bubble f@ck), while my friends with iPads were staring at me with envy

Mine is overclocked to 1.7Ghz, and it's puuurfect for reading and watching streams. If it wasn't so heavy, I'd like it even more.

Your friends with iPads don't know what they're doing. I've watched many of the "illegal" live streams on my iPad. I can even stream them with AirPlay to my apple tv or use the hdmi connector, and I don't need to jailbreak to do it. I just use the sky fire browser in the app store.

In fact that's the only way I'll do it because using a PC or Mac greatly increases the chance of getting spyware or a virus

^ If this was the case, they would have used it, as they know everything there is to know. Next time you are connected to 3G, try streaming from firstrow. Get back to me.

Anyone with CM9 alpha 2 installed is having sound distortion issues when sleep/screen off is activated?

Bringing this thread back from the dead. Lol. Not sure if you guys who still own a TouchPad saw this but they finally got the cameras and pretty much everything else working on the TouchPad running CM9 and unofficial CM10 (4.1.2) builds:

http://rootzwiki.com/topic/31548-how...ra-microphone/

CM10 Camera Build 20121211:
-Camera rotation is fixed.
-Zoom works.
-The Gallery and Camera app are present.
-The problem with the device rebooting when Bluetooth was disabled appears to be fixed.
-Tbobs WebOS card switcher mod does work with this version
-Dorregaray & Jcsullins make an awesome team.

The Good:
-Audio and the Microphone are working well.
-Hardware video acceleration works very well, Games, HD YouTube, NetFlix,Hulu videos.
-Most apps I tested work perfectly.
-Battery Drain During Sleep has been improved to around -28ma 0r -32ma.
-Battery Drain is dependent on your current setup, background apps, widgets and wallpapers.
-Dorregaray & Jcsullins now have an unofficial CM10 build with a working Camera.
-Flash videos work in the Dolphin Browser, if you double tap the video after starting it.
-Google now works with the latest preview 4.
-Random reboot issues have been fixed.
-The Magnetometer/Compass is working.
-You can Rotate the lock screen by checking, settings/display/rotation (include lock screen)
-You can Enable Expanded desktop, go to Settings -> System -> Power Menu (enable on)

The Bad:
-Do not let a TouchPad running CM10 Preview run out of batteries.
-There are unconfirmed reports of bricked TouchPads.
-Installing one of these free apps could solve the problem and save you time.
-AutomateIt- What to do: New Rule/Trigger Battery level(Below 20%)/Action/Shutdown//save.
So now you can use Skype and whatever video chatting you want with the TouchPad.

They usually backport features from later Android revisions after they go stable. I guess if you really want/need the camera then I would do it. Dirty flashing would probably work just fine unless they explicitly say you need to wipe your data.
