Well gee, the damn thing was discontinued because it wasn't selling. Poor reviews and whatever. I just took it as that's how this damn tablet is. So then i see that everyone is posting how preware and overclocking makes this thug run that much better. So of course I'm gonna try it.
Gawdamn.
Just gimme my damn apple sticker.

Like in your car analogy, a $60,000 car was discontinued due to poor sales, reviews and press. They fire sale it for $10,000. When you buy it would you expect the performance of a $60,000 car? I wouldn't, why else would it be discontinued.
So then you hear how chipping and dropping in a supercharged brings the performance on par with a $60,000 car. You're telling me you wouldn't consider trying? And that you'd try to get warranty service because of the poor performance of the car?

Even if the product is discontinued, it is still warrantied. So, guess what? I want to make sure I have a perfect product...
What you did defies logic. Sorry, I don't see how anyone goes straight to modding without first checking if all the lights turn on.
Personally, I would not overclock my TouchPad. No need. But, even if I were, I would still check if everything worked and given the STOCK PRODUCT a chance before going for "better".
Your mentality is exactly what I see in the twitchy Apple-world. Not a slam or hate...just how it is and even in my market report within my organization. An Apple fanatic just CANNOT wait and deal with good/adequate. They NEED to thirst for whatever little drop of upgrade there is and so, will run and line-up for the next product despite some improvements at a premium cost.
Makes no sense.
Again, why you didn't even attempt to give the stock TouchPad a chance blows my mind. Then, you would've known there were issues out-of-box and had HP to help you or even give you a replacement. But, nope. It sucks...of course.
But, hey...it's whatever makes you happy. Oh wait...you're NEVER happy.

Now, excuse me while I go modify my FX and void my warranty. It's a crappy car anyhow.

I did give it a chance, for about a month. So don't go telling me I didn't give it a chance.

I would not try it until I make sure everything works right in the car, first.

Seriously if I wanted an iPad I would've gotten an iPad...
Since I dont have one that should clearly tell you how I feel about that.

Crap...wrong thread.

But you have Sony in your wallet, I bet if the roles were reversed and Apple had a card out, you'd be nailing them for their cult.

My first choice is actually not Sony.
Most of my tech stuff are not Sony. I mean, if you want to believe it, fine.
Like I said, it was just fun to use that as an alternate since there was this Apple worship thing going around. Sony seemed to be expensive enough but just didn't have this asshole wearing a black turtleneck selling it, that's all.

My first choice for any product: whatever is best bang for my hard-earned money. And no, I won't line up for anything unless it will save my life.
Now, hang on...I'm going to go void my IBM servers' warranty. Got some stuff I can try out because, well, people say it's cool...! Here's hoping those AS400s can really fly!

Let's see...Whine. Yup.
Complain. Yup. Whine some more. Yup. Cry. Yup. Whine. Yup. More whining.
OVERCLOCK! Yup. More whining. Yup...
But, nope...didn't call HP in any of that. Definitely did something. What thing? Not sure...but, it was something.

And I still don't get how me buying Sony exclusively for everything (which, is not true anyhow) addresses the fact of the matter that Miz here brilliantly voided his warranty and when he DID have warranty, did nothing about it for his TouchPad...?
Sony = voided HP warranty...I don't see the math here. And I'm Chinese and am brilliant in math.

Whiskers should have sold his extra TouchPad to someone else.

But, thankfully, I'm not :smitler:...
Sorry, nothing to argue about; he voided his warranty and prior to voiding it, he didn't do the most logical thing: call HP to see what is wrong with his device. Instead, non-stop whining and complaining.
I can't wait until iPad 3 is announced so that we get this all over again...except for the iPad 3.
Miz, you may think I have it in for you, but, I don't. Really, I don't...but, you are really something.

No need...I should ban him for being such a moron about the TouchPad.

It's not that difficult of a concept. And if for some reason they figure it out, play dumb.
