So, if Miz comes crying in this thread again, it's okay to ban him, yes...?

I opened mine up today, and it's nice, but I'll see how much I actually use it. Give me a week and I'll let you know.

I'm hoping that Citrix will put out a full version of Receiver and I'll be able to do my work on this in a pinch. If they don't...well, I'd have another toy to play with.

There's always Citrix Receiver for Android, too.

So yeah, I'm interested.

Edit: I'd wait until your SMB order is officially terminated.. I still have a hold and my order is still pending. I think they are going to try and fill those orders with the next production run.

I wish that was right but my money is no longer on hold and hasn't been for a week and it now says order not found for my order number. I am not getting any from SMB unfortunately so I must resort to paying the over charge but it is still much less than any respectable tablet out there.

HP is like Hot Pockets, gives you the runs.

My status says to ship on 9/11... and then it states the dates mentioned are not accurate.

So since I don't have one yet I haven't done much research in all this stuff you guys have been talking about. Is preware a site like XDA for Android and WindowsPhone or is it another Marketplace basically?

Preware to me is a "black market" where you can apply patches and install some program/games. The main purpose of the preware was to speed up the TP with patches.

Anyone know a fix to the browser replacing & with amp; ?

I saw a tutorial of getting chrome on the TP so I may try to get chrome as a fix.

I just got a confirmation email from HP saying I will get delivery in 6-8 weeks.

Your order will be fulfilled at the discounted price. However, we do not have enough stock to satisfy your order at this time. It will take 6-8 weeks to build enough HP TouchPads to meet our current commitments, during which time your order will then ship from this stock with free ground shipping. You will receive a shipping notification with tracking number once your order has shipped. We apologize that these timelines are longer than indicated on the website at time of purchase.

At the significantly reduced price, the HP TouchPad does not qualify for our standard 30 day return policy and is not returnable.

If this delay is not acceptable, please send an email to TouchPadCancel@hp.com with your instructions for cancellation within a week. Be sure to include your HP order number and the name and ship-to address on the order. Also please indicate clearly if this is the only order requiring cancellation or if you wish all orders in your name to be canceled. You will receive an automated cancel notification when your order cancellation request has been processed. Please be aware, however, that cancellations cannot be reversed, and our US SMB store has sold out of HP TouchPad and will not make any further available for sale.

We are pleased that we will be able to fulfill your order and look forward to you joining the exciting community of webOS!

Sincerely,
Your HP Small and Medium Business Team

CM team's work has been amazing thus far. Android on Touchpad is getting super close... Getting touch screen drivers was probably the most difficult part. Wifi isn't working yet, but at the rate they're going a beta release is probably not too far off.

This is the main reason why I jumped on the Touchpad - to port android and we may see prices inflate higher once a stable android port is released.

I understand from an apps perspective why people want Android.. but I really wish the effort were to produce more apps to WebOS then port Android to the TP.

Let WebOS run Android apps - best of both worlds.
