all work and no play
So I just had a lovely talk with an HP rep...
6-8 weeks wait time on most orders from that Saturday to Monday (4am), why? They are actually manufacturing more touchpads to fulfill orders. $#@###$$#!!!! ok, I'll sit and wait quietly, and use my touchstone as a book holder.

Alrighty...My supplier will get back to me by tomorrow and provide an update. But again, don't get your hopes too high because I was only able to procure one from him and it was the 32GB (my preference was the 16GB).

So this coupon that datavis is sending out. Not as good as I thought.
They clarified that it is 20% off my next datavis eBay purchase, up to $50 off.
What the email said sounded like it was $50 off any eBay purchase.
So I might as well just get one off eBay if I can find a sale under $200

HP sent me a 25% off code to keep quiet and wait.

I'm Down Right Fierce!
^ Someone pissed in that dude's cheerios.
Anyways, there is no sim card slot (or there shouldn't be)- apparently they had plans to release a version of our touchpads with AT&T as a service provider, but that was obviously scrapped.
Who knows though, a prototype with a sim slot could have been sold, much like how a couple people now have gotten Qualcomm Developer's Touchpads with Android 2.1 running on them.
As for adding memory, a breakdown showed that the memory chips are soldered on.... so short of someone wanting to become an electric surgeon, you are stuck with how much memory space you paid for.
