Help How do I reset a linksys password?
We don't know what our password is, for our apartment's linksys. How do I reset it, its really annoying trying to steal other peoples wireless. So what are the steps its a basic linksys adapter 802.11g.

push and hold the reset button on the back of the router for 30 sec. It will reset it to the default settings.

depends on the model of the linksys. Some will be username you leave blank, and for password you type "admin".
Some others I believe will have admin for username and password for password (I may be wrong on this second one, but I know the first one works on a lot of linksys routers)

Lol, well I reset it by doing the reset button. I tried logging on with password as admin, as well as admin for user name and admin for password didn't work. Oh well would putting a password on keep me from accessing xbox live?

If it is the former then here are two options based on your connection type:
If it is wired then you should not have to do anything, unless your router NAT is restricted. If it is, go to portforward.com and open up UDP 88, TCP/UDP 3074 to your xbox IP.
If it is wired, then you'll first need to enter the WEP key into the xbox and then do the above it your router is NAT is restricted.
To check whether your NAT is restricted following the instructions provided on live.xbox.com

Post the Model # of the router here, along with all your PC/Laptops/Game Systems that you want to connect and how they are connected (wireless, ethernet).
I'll do my best to help you start off from scratch and set it up correctly.

if you look on the back of the router is should tell you the default login
then once you login you can change the password as well as create a new WEP key
