sprint has the 6700, had it first, but since you said evdo is not working so well, you must have the verizon version, no? same device, wonder why the verizon network is not doing as well as sprint's network on evdo?

i have found sprint evdo to be fast(er) than wifi.

Yes, I'm on Verizon.

Maybe if I got out the of burbs and head to the city it would get faster?
Either way, I'm happy with the phone so far. Doubt I'll switch over to the 700w.

I need a way to convert the tiny earphone jack to a 1/8" jack so I can plug it into a stereo.

Where can I get one of those adapters? What are they called? I can't find one on google.

Are you sure its even picking up EVDO? I know that my phone ever hits EVDO mode until unless I drive to a major city. EVDO is not available in my imediate area

Ken, sprint may be better because as I understand it, it covers the whole network. Verizon only has certain areas with EVDO coverage

I'm sure you're right. I think I'm on 1xRTT or whatever its called. I'm getting the same speeds when tethering as I was with my LG6000. ~218kbps down when tethered (connected at 230kbps). Meh, I'm still happy. Though I'll probably drop the unlimited data plan since I never got charged before when tethering at 1xRTT speeds.

I'm keeping this thing. The more I customize it, the more I like it.

NES, Game Gear, GBA emulators, streaming music, and I've easily made it a one handed device (a lot of people were bitching about that).

XV = Sweet!
