Cloning System Hard Drive

I just got a new hard drive for my computer and been trying to clone the system hard drive to the new one... boot sector and all using Casper XP. Cloning went well but it wont boot up. whats going on? is it because of the drive lettering? Can i change the drive letter from safemode w/ cmd? if so what is the command? What other program out there help with cloning a system drive?

I couldn't do my job without it.

Imaging 250+ servers (now have an automatic provisioning system in place so I don't have to do this shit anymore. I only have to create the images and sysprep them)

Also you want to check that the drive controller is the same between the 2 laptops, as if the disk drive controller is different you will not be able to boot up the machine. Vista fixes this particular problem.
