got the 700W

Am I the first on az? Anyway ... I cant get the POS to pair with my TL. Any thoughts?

And alllll of the haters of this phone were just used to the old PALM OS. You must treat this phone as a BRAND NEW phone. I mean the complaints on this thing were "waaah no calendar button." You can program any button or combo of buttons to do ANYTHING YOU WANT. What a revalation ... anyway I love it.

Also, either the EVDO isnt what its cracked up to be or it just isnt that fast in my area ... either way I feel like this data plan i got is worth oh ... NOTHING

which data plan did you get?

I think I'm gonna wait till next thursday for the xv6700.

I mainly want to use the phone for viewing websites, a few pics, streaming music, a few videos, and text messaging. I don't care too much about checking email or tasks for the day. (Though the calendar will be nice).

^^ I am using it for those purposes as well! Um I got the plan that is $109 you get 1350 minutes and unlimited data ... they basically gave a discount of 15 on the data ... they also have a plan for 79 that gives 450 min and unlimited data ... if they had a 900 minute plan that would be perfect imo

Now if I could only get this thing paired with the TL!!!

no special settings that I know of, in fact I'm using it again to post this, I don't have a choice, my DSL @ home haven't been working. The 700, at times, you can't call it high speed internet, but it's still a lot faster than when I had the Samsung i700

...but the one thing I'm so disappointed about is... for reason I can't email out of my "Yahoo" account, I can only read, but when I tap on reply or forward, it doesn't "click". I can't even delete

I have the 6700 for sprint its a great phone if for the person looking at the 6700 the best way i can explain it if you are more interested in data and pocket pc apps the 6700 will blow away the treo but of you want to use your cell phone more for the features of a phone then the treo is going to be easier to use.

p.s. Verizon plans are way to expensive I pay 49.99 a month for 1500 anytime n/w starting at 7 unlimited sprint to sprint and unlimited power vision. EVDO ROCKS!!! At my house i get about 800k down

Is EVDO available in your area? It's deployment isnt widespread so the chance that you are in EVDO coverage is small.

on the 650 I access Yahoo mail through the Palm portal page... it connects to a wap version that's blazing fast, no pun intended. I could also get to it through www but the wap interface is much faster, by design. It also supports the number buttons on the Palm so you just hit 1 to read a message, etc. Is there such a facility for the 700? Not only talking about speed here, but also functionality and efficiency. The reduced resolution of the 700 can't help.

^^^the 700 does it too... and it's what I use... I'm just being a baby about it...

...also, do they just assume that people that buy smartphones aren't any fun and would not want to download ringtones? I mean, c'mon... we literally have this mini computer in our hands... for most of us... it does more than what we'll ever use... yet it doesn't download ringtones, a feature that even the cheapest phone will do...

...I know I'm going to miss that feature.

uhh, why would you want to pay for ringtones when you can easily make your own with mp3 splitter and dump them into the windows/rings directory (I assume its the same directory on the 700w)?
