XV6700 Bluetooth and a 2004 TL
XV6700 Bluetooth and a 2004 TL
Has anyone succeeded in getting these two marvels of modern technology to work well together?
I used to own a Motorola V710, which eventually worked pretty flawlessly with my TL's HFL after a phone software upgrade or two.
When my V710 died, I shopped around for a PDA phone, and settled on the XV6700. It's really a great phone/PDA, but ...
Every day I have to reset the XV6700 a couple of times during the day to get it properly recognized when I get back into my TL. The HFL will generally work fine after a reset.
Has anyone found a way to keep the XV6700 Bluetooth working so that I don't require frequent soft resets?
Thanks!

With a search I came up with this thread: Acura HFL Now Working - Battery/Signal
Other solution: If you have a 2004 TL, Upgrade your HFL!

However, the Jetware extensions didn't improve the poor reliability of the Bluetooth connection that I have always experienced with my XV6700 (and other Windows Mobile 5.0-based Smart Phones).
I will try getting the dealer to repair / reflash my TL's HFL module (as suggested in the other thread), but I don't expect that to help - the same HFL module worked almost flawlessly with my V710, my girlfriend's RAZR, and a few other phones. I will check into it, though.
Has someone out there has applied a patch or registry hack that is known to fix this problem? Since I have seen this problem on every Windows Mobile 5.0 phone I have tried, it sure seems to be pointing at the WM 5.0 as the culprit.
Thanks again,

If it helps, I have the XV6700 and haven't had anyproblems at all. I get in the car and it just knows that the phone is there.
How old is your 6700 and have you updated the ROM on the phone? I'm using Verizon's latest ROM update.
