Going to Florida in February, will my 3G work?

I was just wondering if my 3G network will work in Florida without any extra charges... I have data roaming turned off, and am still not too sure if I'll have to use it... This is for my iPhone BTW...

Thanks

Most metro areas of FL are 3G capable. If you are out in the sticks I doubt it.

Flying into Tampa, driving to South Beach, then Key West.

Thank's for the answers.

So in what kind of situation would I need to turn on roaming?

Your phone will work fine, just expect anal rape, unless you have a plan that covers US roaming. The fees like 25cents/min then 20 cents roaming/min then like 15 cents.min international long distance.

Interestingly enough I'm going to Tampa in Feb too, from the 12-16th for a leafs vs. Lightning Game.

Nice...

And yes, I don't think I'll have it enabled when I'm down there. The Rogers rep said pretty much the same thing... people were coming in with a $2000.00 monthly bill and were furious about it... I can imagine...

The hotel has Wi-Fi anyways...

Other route is to unlock it, and just grab a pay as you go sim to use while your in the states. I have an Old At&T one I plan to use while I'm there, I should just have to charge it up with min.

I can do without it for a week, it's not that big of a deal. I just didn't want to have a crazy amount of charges on my bill.
