Don't get too excited about Windows 7

How do you like the idea of subscriptions and nickel and diming for every feature?

Maybe Vista isn't so bad.

I didn't get excited about Vista and so far that has proven to be a good plan.

neither Mac nor Windows have come out with a "New" OS. While there are behind the scene drastic differences, nothing to make me go WOW! Its not GTA2 vs GTA3

No I understand. I am the guy that immediately turns all the flashy shit off, but I know allot of people want a complete visual redesign. Just depends on how you use it.

not excited. windows is like a honda accord. very reliable but completely uninspiring. ubuntu is doing it for me right now but without 3 billion beta testers i mean users there will always be annoying bugs and support issues. for this reason windows will always be a damn good OS..relatively speaking of course. i'm sure whatever they release it will be easier to live with than any open source OS. now if i only had the cash right now to buy a mac...

I'm all about efficiency. I was something that doesn't hog unnecessary system resources.

Reliable? Hardly. At least not in my experience.

You know I think windows is like anything else. Its reliable if you use it correctly
I have been running my install of XP home for 3 years now and never once have I had even one problem.

Granted, since XP I haven't seen the BSOD ever, and never had a hard freeze, so it's much better than 98 which is what I upgraded from; however, I've had times where I've used windows update, and then after the restart, something didn't work (or once the computer didn't even boot). That's what I meant.
