Does SprintPCS suck or what?

My Letter to sprint
I have been getting persistant messages every month about how my bill was over. I called *4 and ended up talking to a computer that tried to have me tell it what I wanted it to do.

Cliff notes: Your automated computer started asking me questions and whatever I said it would ask another question. I ended up cussing the Voice Feedback Loop out until it notified me that they would connect me to a live person.

When the hideous computer finally connected me to a live person I was furious. I certainly didn't cuss the person on the other end out, but I sure did inform them that the voice prompt was like a rat in a maze.

The man on the other end of the phone (which works for you) totally agreed that the voice reading woman was hideous and he had himself been trapped in it TWICE!!! He remarked, "Never again"

Please destroy this hideous device that dispenses question after question… I speak perfect american english with not a hint of accent, I could only imagine the confusion your voice prompt would do with your eastern and southern customers on the other end of the cellphone!

heh thats funny. I experience the same frustration when I try to call Sony tech support...I usually just say all kinds of crap so I can be connected to a person...for some reason it can never catch my model number...and thats only the second question

hahaha I love that smiley...

good luck on your quest to end the automated phone people. Sometimes having everything automated and taking people out of roles they traditionally held is a bad thing

At least they didn't tell you to write a letter. I wanted to complain once to sprint and they told me to write a letter. At that point I said what the fuck(no email) and gave up I've beem with sprint since '97.

Sprint used to REALLY suck for me. Cause where I was living I had NO SIGNAL. My luck the apt I had was in the middle of a dead spot. If I walked down the block in any direction the phone wold work. I moved & now I can use my phone all I want. I get almost full signal even in the bathroom

I have sprint and had no problems with it until a month ago, I have the ready link and Pcs Vision on my account, they started offering it for less than i was paying for it so i asked them to switch me last month. ever since then neither has worked, i have called in about five times with no resolution and now ive paid about $30 for services i cant use, im a patient person but its starting to get rediculous and no one can help me.

Our new project this year is to implement an automated voice system for our direct bill department. I know I have dealt with the sprint thing before, not too bad.

Geisha - you should be able to hit some number to get to a live person for Sony, but don't expect to understand them either as they seem to lack the ability to understand/speak English.

I had two HORRIBLE experiences with Sprint. The first was the old "Phone slam", where they call you and ask if you want thier long distance service and you say no. They sign you up anyway and you recieve a bill for a few bucks, not much. Most people didn't fight it and just payed the bill. Some of us didn't pay and tried to fight them. My bill was for only $49.00 but it was the principal that I was fighting for. I complained and complained, but they wouldn't take no for an answer. They finally sent my debt to a collection agency and it litterally took me 6 years to get it off of my credit history reports. And BTW, I did have to pay the friggin' $49.00.

The SECOND time they screwed me was a few years ago when I had a cell phone with them. Somehow, don't ask me how, someone got my online user name and password and created another account in my name. They bought a $600 cell phone and then got every option for it that was out there. If I had not called and asked for my account balance I would not have known about it until my next billing cycle. I immediately dropped Sprint and threatened a lawsuit with them, they still tried to bill me for this as well but one letter from my lawyers and they went away. It was the worst experience that I have ever had with any company I have ever dealt with.

don't ever call Sprint. do everything through email. the automated machine is horrible, and the people are usually worse.

the only problems I've ever had with sprint have been when these phone idiots mess up my account. I have fixed all of the problems through email. the email people are much better.

To bypass the machine all you have to do in press 0 a bunch of times. Until she says ok I will connect you.

I've had my share of problems with Sprint but for some reason I still haven't switched (3yrs). I recently got 1000 min on 2 phones for $100 per month. For the past 3 months my freakin bill has been 130, 149, 136. Now I'm looking into the new adjustable plans. All I know is sprint doesn't do shit for longtime loyal customers. Wouldn't let me get a referal bonus for my second phone with them. New promotions were only for new customer with new activations. A couple of years ago they tried to charge me for activation on a new phone because my old one was defective. i have other complaints but I'll stop. They do have reliable service and thats why I've stuck with them. I almost swithced to Nextel but I can't stand it when I call a buddy and hear "please wait while we locate the nextel subscriber." or "the nextel subscriber you are trying to locate is not avail" anyone else notice this with Nextel?

What make and model phone do you have?
Do you have PCS Vision and PCS Ready Link enabled on your account?
Why did it quit working (changed phones, canceled then resign, ...)?
What error message do you get today when you try to use Vision/Ready Link?
What are some of the things that technical support has had you to try?
Please PM your PCS number to me if you don't mind.

sprint pcs works ok for me. i need some money so i can get a new phone though.

i also have sprint as local and long distance. i've been getting this minimum usage charge every month for the past 10 mons and i finally called them to find out what that is. turned out for some reason, i got signed up w/ an old old plan that doesn't exsist anymore and charges a $5 minimum usage. so the rep took it off and gave me credit for just this last month and put me on a free 15min/month no monthly charge plan after learning that i use the cell for LD calls....
