Does anyone have the LG VX8000 w/ Verizon ???

I’m thinking about giving my VX4500 to the wife and upgrading her old 510.

Yes, I know it’s BIG and digital only, but any other negatives?
My 4500 is only a 1/4 inch smaller and it is digital only as well.
It hasn’t been a problem for the last year I had it.

The screen is a tad bit bigger then the LG 7K. It seems a bit big at first, but you get used to it afterwards. If I had the cash, I'd upgrade from 7K to the 8K.

so mikey, what would you recommend from Verizon? I'm looking to upgrade soon.

But I can also wait a few months if there are any rumors or new stuff coming out soon.

any advice?

its a cool phone but i dont think its worth getting since where you live is not EVDO yet. the only reason to really get it at this point is for the streaming video clips which personally i think is a waste of money.... and i work for them. i would personally go with the 7000 if you dont live in an EVDO area yet. it should be there by the end of this year though.

The 7000 is nice and it has a bunch of toys, but it has no Speakerphone.
That’s one of the main reasons I went with the 4500 when I got it.

Stick shift car and driving in traffic, it’s a must have feature for incoming calls.
And NO, I don’t want to wear an earpiece or install an ugly car-kit in there.

Always new stuff coming out, i dont have dates of anything...or specifics on any phones..i actually missed this quarters launch thing they had at the waldorf..which would have been pretty cool....

Usually you can find most of the info at howardforums..they leak alot of info..i dont like to talk to much never know who is browsing the internet...

but if you guys have any questions on anything that is out...i'll shoot the pro's and con's.......
