Cricket Wireless
I would like to know if anyone here has and or had cricket wireless cell service? We currently have a family plan with T-Mobile and they are nothing but pure crap - their service is complete junk at least here in the northeast.
any details / info would be greatly appreciated!

Yes we hardly have any service with T-Mobile and Cricket is a very budget friendly option
I'm in California.
I have Verizon, but of course it's pretty pricey. I would switch but I've never had issues with the Network (drop calls, roaming, etc)
I looked into Cricket the other day, they are reasonably priced. I think you get like 5GB of data for like $50 bucks and then get a discount for other lines that you have on the plan.

I would be going with 5 lines and I would be paying $120 with taxes and everything included which is unbelievable and awesome! but that also scares me maybe there is something about them I don't know and would really regret but at the same time I have T-Mobile and I can't imagine anything worse than T-Mobile (T-Mobiles feels like cell phone coverage from the 90's)
Good thing about Cricket is you can take your phone with you. Well not all but I know the Iphone 5 and beyond with VZW you can. You just have to pay 10 bucks for a universal sim card.
$120 is a killer deal for 5 lines. I may have to suck up and go to Cricket lol.

You'll also need new phones unless your TMobile handsets are unlocked.
I know people who use Cricket. No big problems/complaints with them since they run off AT&T towers so coverage will be the same. The only thing that some don't like, but for most people it shouldn't be an issue, is that Cricket's LTE speed maxes out at 8mbps, they can have higher ping times, and tethering is $10 extra. Oh, and Cricket customer service isn't the greatest.

We currently have T-Mobile and data totaly sucks - it hardly ever works and when it does it's like dial up internet speed.
Straight Talk is another good AT&T MVNO. But not as good in the pricing dept as Cricket since you need 5 lines.
I live in Central PA and T-Mobile just doesn't cut it here. At&t and verizon are great but they are also on the pricey side.
I will give Cricket a try - until tomorrow that are running a special $100 credit per line if you switch from another carrier, I can't say no to that.

So yesterday we made the switch from T-Mobile to cricket and we are shocked. Service is amazing - drove around places where we could never get any service / data before and cricket had LTE and worked great.
5 lines for $120 per month with all taxes and fees included for unlimited talk, text, data but only 2.5gb is LTE. You can get 5gb for an extra $10 per month or 10gb for an extra $20 per month and every line and be different - there is nothing else out there like this. Also they have a special running right now for every line that you port over from another carrier you get $100 credit and today is the last day for that.

Not sure how Sprint coverage is where you're at, but Ringplus (Sprint MVNO) is offering 1,800 min talk, 1,800 texts, and 1.8GB LTE data for free. Just need to put $20 into your Ringplus account to cover any overages or for stuff like sending/receiving MMS.
If I had a spare phone that worked on Sprint, I'd sign up for it as a back up.

Have you had a chance to talk to their customer service? I wonder if it's any good. I once tried Straight Talk for a month and their customer service was horrible. Off-shored, read a script, and could never figure out how to port a number to their service.
I have not tried talking to customer service but I am expecting it to be pretty crappy and that is okay with me because I am $100 for 5 lines. If i wanted great customer service I would have went with At&t or verizon and pay about $350 for 5 lines but I am okay with the extra savings.
I do know straight talk customer service is extremely horrible.
