Save me: stopping Win 10 upgrade pop up

Sorry. I looked and cannot find a decent fix to stop the Window 10 Upgrade pop up. It's annoying and I am dealing with 3 computers.

HELP! Thanks.

1) Install/upgrade to Windows 10
2) No more Windows 10 upgrade pop up

Every time you run Windows Update you will want to go down the list and make sure that update is not set to re-download and install. Very annoying but less so than being set back to step 1.

Just right click on it when it reappears the first time and choose "hide update". It will not re-appear.

Sorry, I meant the actual KB update.

Uninstall KB3035583.

Run the updater.

it will reappear as an available update, right-click and choose "hide update."

2 yr olds can use iPads. Hard to see a problem using it.

W10 funnels so much of your information back to MS, and you can't opt out.

I've hidden the update several times and every now and then it will somehow find its way back into the list, so I've gotten into the habit of checking. Something I'm missing?

Edit: Found the answer to my own question. Apparently when you hide an update you only hide that specific version of the update. So if Microsoft rolls out a newly revised version it will show up in the download/install list even though it's technically the same update.

No wonder Microsoft "recommends" that we upgrade to Windows 10. Fuck 'em.

Uh, no.

Enterprise versions can use the GPE instead, if desired.

Say HELL NO to Windows 10 - a few geniuses @ work upgraded now half of their shit does not work...

Plus Windows 10 snoops ways too much into your business. I found some settings that made me feel very uncomfortable.

And they heavily favor Windows 10 apps...I've tried installed Office 2010 and it gave me an issue...and blocked the install.

Yea I keep getting the pop up but it doesn't bother me. I click the 'x' in the top right corner of the pop up.

I don't think I'm going to upgrade. I like Windows 7

2010 click to run doesn't like windows 10. However I've seen one of our clients still running 2010 Office Starter on Windows 10 which only uses click to run. Not sure how it's working but it is, haven't seen it working on other 10 machines

Yeah the full disc install works fine. It's the version where the install file is only ~1.5MB that doesn't work
