Is your left mouse button actually working?

Can you double-click to open programs or play games now?

Can you highlight and hit Enter to open programs? Can you open things from the start menu?

Reboot does not help. If I click once on a program, I can generally open it if I hit the enter button on the keyboard.

I want to double click to open, not this shit.

So in the mouse control panel, you can trigger the animation for double-click speed?

It triggers it only after one mouse click. And a different mouse does not work. Let me be clear: this is not a mouse problem.

It may be a LEFT mouse BUTTON problem. In the mouse control panel dialogue, there is an option to REVERSE the mouse (for lefties). Try this and see of you can miraculously correctly double click with the right (now told to be left) button.

Don't want to do that. I want to keep the mouse buttons the same.

No, no, no...

This is how you determine if the mouse itself or the driver or something else is the problem...

Switch the buttons. If it works perfectly but now RIGHT clicking (with the left button) is all screwy, then the mouse itself is jacked up.

If it continues to occur with the reversed buttons, then it is not the hardware and is the driver or some other software issue.

This was not meant to be a permmnent solution, only a diagnostic tool.

I see. I will try that when I get home. If this does not work, I will send your way.
