Yah using a new mobo, that's my point.
I don't think intel ICH10 supports Sata 3 yet. I think the sata 3 ports are done by another controller by marvell, promise or someone else.
Does it show up in System profiler and is it running at 6g speeds? Did you have to install special drivers for that or did OS X install automatically

WMC Embedded built into the TV!

But the idea of an all-in-one TV and DVR running our favorite software certainly is something to get us excited about. What we didn't like ws the motion remote used for the demo which was almost impossible to navigate and had us seriously longing for our favorite Green Button.

The only issue I have is with sleep mode and an external drive plugged in.

This is a little intro to Windows Media Center Embedded. It's like Google TV except it doesn't have the search bar. But you can get content from a variety of places like netflix, flickr, youtube, daily motion, Zune marketplace, CBS, network locations and more. All with a great UI!

Man didn't gEt to check out much.
Wasted 1 hour in the south hall, had smaller accessory companies.
Spent the remaining 2 hours I had in the central hall that had all the main stuff.
Just checked out the booths for intel, ms, motorola, toshiba, panasonic, samsung and canon.

Next year I need to get a 3-4 day weekend there. Shit is huge so much to see.
Central hall is huge! (what she said)
4 parts for south hall, and I didn't even get to north hall and whatever they had setup outside.

OK this might be the coolest thing at CES! Automatic Electronic Focusing Eyeglasses! The glasses have some 3 micron thin film of liquid in them and if you swipe the side of the glasses it can switch from near sighted to far sighted. Also the glasses have a built-in micro accelerometer so when you look down it adjusts so you can see the ground and then when you look straight ahead it can see far away again.

I drew floorplans for Mandalay Bay and Sands.. But I am not sure if they ever went over there.

They're prescription lenses like bifocals that you use at the prescribed setting most of the time so you can see far away which they said was 70% of the time. So about 70% of the time it's using no power it's when you want to read close that you switch on the special vision with the swipe on the earpiece otherwise they're normal glasses that let you see further than 16in away. So if the power dies it's just normal farsighted glasses.
FWIW, that 8 million number represents what has been sold/shipped to stores... not sold through to customers.

Yes but it's well known that the kinect has been selling like crazy and that many places can't seem to keep them in stock. They even mention that in the article that due to large demand there's probably little difference between the number they've shipped to retailers and amount purchased by customers
The reason why they measure ships is because it's easy as hell for them to track. Measuring POS is quite difficult because not all retailers will give you their POS data free of charge. Even if every retailer that sold ps3's did, sony would have to aggregate the data from thousands of POS systems, which is a royal pita. It's much easier for them to measure what they sent out the door. Sell thru is still king when you can get it.
