Bluetooth Headsets....

Is there a top rated one out there? Are they all essentially the same? I just got the i870 from Nextel and need to get a BT headpiece...Any suggestions?

The H700 does have a feature I would love to have, echo cancelling technology. My HS850 isn't as bad as the last one, but I don't want to go buy a new headset after I bought my HS850 last week.

How much for the HS850? Does it really matter if I get one with the microphone sticking out like the 850 or 700, or would the one that doesn't have it work better, like say the HS820?

850 works great and on ebay you can prob get it for 50, 60 bucks shipped...retail they are going for about 100....

dont go witht he 820 pain in the ass to keep turning on the headset on and off...with the 850 when you close the flip it automatically disconnects the bt connection...

2cents..

I got the HS850...not bad, but it does ocassionally get choppy (sound-wise) I took that only so I can turn the piece on and off quickly, instead of holding down the button for 5 seconds every time.

Which phones are you guys using with your headsets? I have a Plantronic Explorer 320, Moto HS850, HS820, HS815, Sony Ericsson HBH-660, Nokia HS-3. I've been playing with all of them with my IPAQ 6515 and Sony Ericsson Z520a. So far the moto headsets are real nice...The HS850 is a quiet one compared to the rest. Voice quality and all, the Plantronics is by far the best for fitment (staying on the ear, comfortable, etc), loudness and clarity. I'm trying to get my hands on the 640 cause I heard that is supposed to be THE headset to get. we'll see.

who has bought from ebay? I've seen some of the 850's and 815's going for a "buy it now" price of ~$20. Seller's even have 98% ratings? Should I trust it? I've never ebay'd before and very leary of doing anything online....

If you're looking for an 850, I have a couple of those but some that don't have chargers...let me know if you want to buy one from me.

I read reviews from amazon.com ... the moto h850 is very quiet ... too quiet if you're on the road. I was gonna get a BT hands-free for my RAZR but will wait.

My vote goes to Plantronics 320..the jabra feels like a big tumor behind your ear...I didn't like that feeling.

I have an HS850 and the volume is fine on mine, although it is somewhat "crackly" at times. My big problem is that the person i am calling has difficulty hearing me. Constantly breaking up and sounding distant. It becomes such a hassle that I have stopped using the headset. Do I have a defective headset or is this just the trade off to using a wireless headset?
