Which Blackberry?

I really have no idea about Blackberries. My dad is getting one for work, and he has a choice of the 7290, 8700c or 7130c....which one. Again any comments are appreciated.

Thanks in advance

8700c FTW
The 7130c, he will hate the small keyboard. The screen is the best on the 8700. 7290 is the old model.

i had a 7130c. It is more phone-like than the others since it's slimmer.

The keyboard is very good and took only a day or 2 for me to get used to it. Very good trade-off for the better form factor.

I got a 8100 "Pearl" now, and this one is even thinner and smaller, and the keys are laid out the same as the 7130c, but the spacing is not as good as the 7130c.

Tell him to wait for the 8800. Thin as the Pearl but with the full size keyboard.

i'd estimate $250-300 with a 2yr contract with most carriers.

The only problem is this isn't expected to be out until 1st quarter '07, and this is for the non-camera version.

The camera version is expected 2nd quarter '07.

Ever consider a phone with Windows Mobile (e.g. Treo 700)?

The turn offs for me with the BB, is the lack of MS Outlook and full HTML browser. Also, you can open MS Office attachments with the MS Mobile OS.
