For battery life? They say with Ipod's to leave them plugged in it helps the battery, what about cell phones?

You should "condition" your cell phone battery by fully charging and discharging (cell phone shuts down by itself) around 3-4 times. After that, charge it whenever you want to. As for the iPod instruction, I wouldn't trust Apple's opinion on how to extend battery life (spits on iPod mini on desk).

These days, there really isn't a need to condition your battery. I owned 2 Sony Ericsson K700i awhile back. The first one I had, I conditioned it...got 2-3 days standbye. (damn firmware bug) The second one I had, same firmware version, did not condition it, got the same results. I don't see a reason for conditioning batteries. The first time I did it, just wanted to baby the phone and let it drain twice but to my dismay, it did nothing...enter in the placebo effect. If it makes you feel any better, condition it.

Lithium-Ion batteries do not have memory problems. NiCd did. No need to worry.
