Apple WWDC 2008
$30 month for data? If I was getting one (probably getting the BlackBerry Bold when it comes out), I guess I'd have to spoof the IMEI to a RAZR like I'm doing now so I can use the $15 data plan. At least for $30 on the BlackBerry I get all the BIS features.
The MobileMe has me excited though, it's something I've wanted for awhile.

"Apple has learned so much with the first iPhone. They have taken everything they've learned and more and created the iPhone 3G. Even thinner, black plastic back, solid metal buttons, same gorgeous display, camera, flush headphone jack, and dramatically improved audio."

One question that occurred to me is what happens if a developer offers an iPhone app for free and decides at a later date they want to start charging for it? Since the app updates are automatic, will you just not receive the latest update or will your app go dark?

I've had the 16G for a few months now and have had no problem with the service. Even at the lake where Verizon was the only one that worked.
If Apple's current policy holds true, there are no subsidies for the phone when signing up for the plan. Actually you buy the phone first then sign up. Think about it, if you're buying the phone, your going to go to AT&T, right?
You don't even sign up for the plan when you purchase it if you get it from one of the Apple stores. When I bought mine, they rang it up, bagged it, and said have a nice day. When I asked about the plan they said to go home and log on. Takes about ten minutes to activate. You do it yourself.

One more thing. If you are coming from another carrier make sure you sign up for the AT&T one BEFORE you drop your old contract. If you cancel your current contract you lose the ability to port your number.

Good upgrades, but it falls short of a buy for me sadly.
-No MMS
-No Copy & Paste
-No Removable Battery (doubt apple will ever do this)
I think I will just get the Curve for this year and get the Bold next year (I never buy first run models).

Also, it's such a standard feature that's easy to implement.

I guess you can always place it face down.

Webpages look great but, seemed a bit slow and the vaugeness of the plans and the high cost of the phone....
However after watching most of the video on apple's site about the new Iphone and the fact that Verizon does not work too well in my apartment but, AT&T does..
With 3G support I think pages (most anyway) will load fast enough for me.
And the price is VERY reasonable I think will be making the jump. Not sure if will wait it out till end of year (christmas time) or just wait till the 2nd batch ship.
Only think I have to figure out is if 8GB is enough. I honestly think it will be. I have a 1st gen 30 gb with about 9GB of music on it. Much of it I would just delete and never miss. The fact I can move files back and forth easily via WIFI too helps.
I would probably use most of the rest of the phone more then the music part too. I barely use my IPOD anymore as it is.
I think Apple really has a great product here and can see more and more the line between phone and laptop blurred. Still a small screen which is fine for younger people.

A quick question for those that have the iphone. Can you use it to listen to music while in flight on the major airlines? I assume you can turn off the cell phone part like you can on a Black Berry?

Seriously, I jog holding the phone and I don't have to worry about my headphones falling off and the cable in my mouth. Also when I do chores around the house and I'm too far from the TV, I'll play some music.

8gb is fine for me, I've never needed more. Its never going to fit my entire library, and I sync it every night...so I just keep my most recent music/tv shows on there.
What are you moving back and forth with wifi? On an iPhone?
