I was hoping for a hardware hint as well. I need to upgrade my 3G, but don't want to waste getting a 3GS just for something new to come out. I hate Apple sometimes.

I was very surprised that the iPhone 3G processor was a 90nm manufacturing process. Look how small and fast these processor have gotten in just a couple years.

 

Wow, this is a giant meh. I was worried they were going to implement stuff that I couldn't do with my Nexus. This is all kinda boring. Android still has a better push notification system.

 

Yup general consensus seems to be it's just a catch up update for the most part.

 

iAd was the biggest announcement. Wonder about Google's thoughts on Apple entering the advertising market?

 

Apple always seems to be a step behind and playing catch up. The thing is, when they do catch up they do it really well, better than those before them did it.

Doesn't seem to be the case here, I thought Apple's multitasking was going to blow Androids away, but it really doesn't. It's not even really full multitasking.
