I think they are trying to make a statement that the iPad is more of an everyday computing device by taking away any desginations (2, 3, HD etc..)
Just like the Macbook Pro doesn't get a new name with each update....

They should put it on all their devices. Mac iPad iPhone iPod. And then use iCloud so the devices will be in sync.
So it'll be with you where ever you are.
Kind of like Jarvis in Ironman.

Looks like I should be able to get a nice deal on a refurb iPad 2.

Amazon lowered the trade-in value from $460 to $415 for the iPad2, Black, 64GB, Wifi only model as I expected them to. Glad I secured the higher rate last night, now I just gotta hope they still honer the higher price.
