It was introduced for Mac only as well, all of the PC people started freaking out they couldn't have it.

LOL! Gazelle has lowered their offering price for the iPad 32GB wifi back to $331! Probably got a lot of takers with the $437 price

Yea you gotta pick what model 3G. Darn.

Think ill stick with AT&T model since I could use it abroad when I travel.
There's three models- Wifi, AT&T, and Verizon. But I'm saying I'm happy because I'm just going to buy the wifi version of the iPad (which is quite a bit cheaper than the ATT/Vzon ones) and use the AT&T 3G data off of my iPhone since iOS 4.3 will bring the hotspot functionality. That will mean rather than paying for a separate data plan on the iPad, I can just have the one on my iPhone.

Now that's what I would pay for one.

thats a separate monthly fee on ATT? how much?

the way the 4.3 update reads, it doesnt seem like theres an additional fee - BUT - I would not be surprised.

There's an additional fee for it on verizon ($20/mos). I would be VERY surprised if there no fee from AT&T

super GHEY, but looks like its likely. these f&cking companies are so damn greedy, $20 a month is not a small fee, for a service you will likely not even use every day obviously YMMV. but still. it should be like $5 a month then i'll consider it. but for 20? i wouldnt pay that much to use AT&T's network for wi-fi - at least with Verizon (I think) itll be decent fast. I mean compared to ATT.

30 a month. No contract. Capped data unless you got the unlimited plan at 1st release and kept continuous service.

I have the 250mb plan from AT&T on mine. I have yet to use even a third of it thanks to the near ubiquity of wi-fi in my daily life.

just saw they updated the spec sheet at apple.

Back camera: Video recording, HD (720p) up to 30 frames per second with audio; still camera with 5x digital zoom
Front camera: Video recording, VGA up to 30 frames per second with audio; VGA-quality still camera

so its pretty much the ipod touch cameras.

Same decision to make here. Normally I'd spring for the white product because it's different and neat looking, but I'm not sure how I feel about the white iPad. Only the display bezel is white and the rest is aluminum. Kinda weird looking, IMO.

if you're talking about iphones, yes. but I've had phones in the past where there was no additional fee to tether to a laptop. and it makes (or I should say MADE) sense, because you are ALREADY PAYING FOR data service, and thats what youre using when you tether. these companies charging that much extra to tether is nothing more than greediness. It's not like you have to pay extra because you are using more of their data network or something, there's no difference there between using your phone directly or your phone's connection on a laptop, its the SAME DAMN CONNECTION.

yeah, rant.

edit: I just saw where you said you get an additional 2gb of data. that's great, I guess. but wait, its LIMITED???? it should be UNLIMITED!!! :ghey: yeah.

My dilemma is AT&T 3G or Verizon 3G. A month ago I would have said Verizon without even giving it a second thought... But now, having seen the iPhones getting faster data speeds on AT&T's network, I'm not so sure anymore. I don't know if the "reliability" of Verizons network is a factor since dropped calls won't be an issue with an iPad.

I noticed that the new AV Adapter works with iPad 1, iTouch, and iPhone at 720p. Not bad.
iPad 2 = 1080p. I originally thought that this was iPad 2 only.
